Rivers Roost Bassets

For the first time ever, Rivers Roost Bassets will be walking in our hometown (Louisa, Va) Christmas Parade. We are happy to be going from spectators to participants. We invite our RRB “alumni” to join us! This years theme is “A Storybook Christmas”. Parade starts at 1130 am. There is also a holiday market, so feel free to come early. Event is 10-3 Saturday, December 6. If you’d like to join us, please reach out for more information! Hope to see some of you there!

OK guys! We have had a lot of messages inquiring about puppies. Unfortunately, we don’t have any at this time and do not expect a litter before the end of the year, but I will definitely keep the page updated if anything changes. Be blessed!

Late post here! I hope everyone had a wonderful October/spooky season!  this time of year is usually pretty crazy for us so I just wanted to pop on here and check in and see how everybody is doing! Who likes short shorts? We like short shorts, especially when referring to a friendly Bassett Hound. We just happen to have two (Harrow F, 4 years on top) (Fred M 3 years bottom) long-earned, short-legged, happy, goofy low riders available. These kids are always happy to meet new people, steal a snack, and basically just be their wonderful selves. If you love a lowrider, and who doesn’t, stop by and meet these snack vacuums. Bassets are ideal for families or individuals who want a loving, funny, and relatively low-energy companion. They’re not high maintenance, but they do need regular grooming and a bit of patience during training. If you enjoy relaxed walks, indoor playtime, and a dog who’s part clown, part cuddle bug a Basset might be your perfect match. These kids have been spayed/neutered, chipped, and fully vetted.
