OH MY GOODNESS!!! I just went to a local pet store to pick up some new chew toys for my babies and they had a standard English bully for sale ❤️. I thought about adding her to my brood but they’re asking more than 3x what we’re asking for these handsome little guys!! OUCH!

Have you ever wondered why English Bulldogs (EB’s) are so expensive? I know I did when I bought my first one. I thought a little background might help.

Most people don’t know that EB’s can rarely breed naturally. Breeding virtually always involves artificial insemination, and over 95% of the time, c-sections, with an average litter size of 4. And sadly, EB pups have a 55% mortality rate😢.

Bully momma’s tend not to be the best mom’s either. With their bulk, they can easily smother their pups, so breeding means taking on the responsibility of overseeing nursing, every two hours the first two weeks of life, with the time periods extending for six weeks as the pups grow.

A a result of the c-section, it’s also not uncommon for mom to be unable to feed her pups, meaning puppy formula and hand feeding. If you’ve ever had to buy baby formula you understand how expensive that can be!

All this and I haven’t even touched on Vet care.

Breeding EB’s is costly and labor intensive.
If you see them advertised cheap….BEWARE! EB’s are the scammers best grift.

So why breed them? Just look ❤️❤️❤️❤️! And their cuteness is just the beginning. They are great with kids, wonderful apartment dogs, and tend not to be barkers. They don’t like extreme temperatures, don’t require much exercise, and prefer sleeping or just hanging out with you. Essentially, me in dog form😂

Bully puppies LOVE to chew! If you ever find yourself tired of buying new bones, re-flavor your old ones! Put the old bones in a pan, cover them with chicken or beef broth. Bring it to a boil then simmer for 30 minutes. It will re-flavor the bones, and your babies will love them!
