I know I should have expected this... 😅

Our wait-list for babies after yesterday's post has grown and we are not able to guarantee rats for anymore new adopters than what's already on the list. Due to some complications with the latest litter we do not have as many babies available as we had hoped for. New pairings are in process and we will update as things go. There is always a risk to taking on rats from other Ratteries, unfortunately no matter how many questions are asked I have to depend on what info I am given and presented with. Breeding is not for the weak. Unfortunately this is a learning journey no matter how long you've been in this game. New info and new issues arise and working with the Merle and Marble types has been more difficult than I expected. So I apologize for delays.

UPDATE: The first two boys have been reserved. We are only looking for someone to adopt the Marten boy.

We have three boys also on discount this week!

The first two are returns, due to no fault of their own. They are friendly and are close to 6 months old and do look very similar to one another.

The last boy is a Marten that is friendly and will come up to you, especially from inside the cage. He doesn't like to be held though. He fusses a lot and doesn't really let you do much with him that requires handling. But as you can kinda tell from his two photos, he's happy to sit next to you and chill, sometimes he will climb in your lap too.

Personally, I'd prefer that all three go to one home as they seem happier together but the first two I won't split up as they have had time to bond together. The Marten can technically go to any home that already has rats if no one wants all three.

These are the last of the discounted rats available.
Litters will be coming available in November.

Good morning Ratty Rats Fam!

Today we have rats available with discounted adoption rates. These rats are discounted due to failing temperament testing for breeding and for being around 6 months of age.

Please understand that the rats are not in any way violent or bitey. They also get along fantastic with other rats! We have 3 girls and 3 boys, (Boys will be listed in a separate post but also feel free to message and inquire about them)

Pictured below is the three available girls.

The Black Berkshire and the Dumbo Agouti are both easy going girls who do like to climb on your lap and get on shoulders. They just want to do it themselves on their terms. They can be picked up and messed with but they get very squirmy and want to run.

We also have a Frosted/Silvermane girl that absolutely does not agree to being petted or picked up. If she is picked up she screams bloody murder. Again, 0 biting issues, she just screams at you. However she does love to chase strings and paint brushes.

All girls will take treats and I think that maybe being in homes that can give them more 1 on 1 time than I can with my hoard will benefit them more than staying here. Please send us a message to inquire more or to adopt.

Final update on the rescue boy!

I want to give a huge shout out to both Heather and Rachel for taking the time to help us with getting our little rescue boy to a safe home. Heather took him in to foster until proper placement could happen and made sure he was healthy and ready to go. Rachel has now provided him with a wonderful home where he will have many friends and a happy life!

Thank you both so so much for everything!

If you ever find yourself wondering what kinds of things rats love to play with...

Doll houses, cardboard tubes, and plastic toy capsules are definitely good options.

I think I want to start putting the tubes on the walls too. They climb up and slide down a just like kids on a playground 🥰🥰🥰

Reposting now that we have found that the information originally given was incorrect. The Rat is actually a boy. So I am now looking for anyone who can take in a male albino rat rescue.

One of our amazing Ratty Parents has taken him in to keep him safe temporarily and he is headed to Knoxville if that makes it easier for someone to grab him. 💚

SECOND UPDATE!! (The rat is actually a male rat. Original Info given was not correct.) We are still in need of a home for this little guy.)

UPDATE! We now have two potential homes lined up for this sweet girl. If for some reason they do not work out we will repost. Thank you all so much for being such awesome Ratty parents! 💚💚💚💚

Good morning Ratty Rats fam!! We are looking for help in rescuing this little cutie from her current situation. She is very sweet and we would love to take her in at Ratty Rats but due to being in process of making more babies for you all to love, this would be a risk to that end, at this time.

Can confirm she is a girl and would love to be in a home with companions. Please send us a message if anyone can take in this baby and I will get you to the right person to get her from. She is located in the general area of Sweetwater TN.

Fall photoshoot with Ranga!
This handsome little man is one of our latest from the Merle line. This is the first of his particular color scheme we've been blessed with. I am so excited with where the line is heading and hope to have a solid base of merles in the near future. And yes, he does have two different colored eyes. The odd eye gene is going strong in this line. 😍😍😍😍

Please show him some love and help get our page back in algorithm. Thanks a bunch everyone!

Happy Labor Day everyone!!! Asta here with a quick update to say that litters are slowly happening. Please be patient with me just a little while longer. We're just down to myself and the husband now. I will not be taking on any new breeder partners for the foreseeable future. It just doesn't work out well. 😢

For now I want to get back to posting photos on the page and want everyone to know that while I might be slow at responding at times still, I have been doing better with communications and mental health lately.

Let me start with one of the current moms, Sophia, with a litter growing and please look for the next post I'm about to make with our latest photoshoot. We have 3 more moms to be in process. All good luck and baby vibes are appreciated.
