Yesterday, the managers of our region's hospitals participated in a team-building event at the County of Santa Clara Animal Services Center in San Martin, CA. During this event, they had the chance to meet and interact with several wonderful adoptable dogs.

Here are the dogs they met, all of whom are currently seeking their forever homes:

Kira- A127749
Kira is a three-year-old spayed female black and tan German Shepherd Dog. She walks well on a leash, loves to sniff around, and enjoys taking walks. She appears neutral towards other dogs and has a fondness for water and fountains. Kira is affectionate and enjoys receiving hugs and pets. She would be an excellent companion for anyone. Also, she loves pup cups.

Gogo- A127603
Gogo is a seven-year-old spayed female Chihuahua with a smooth coat, featuring white and black coloring. She is great on walks and does not bark much. While she is okay around other dogs, she can become fearful if the other dog is overly excited. Initially shy, Gogo warms up and becomes affectionate once she gets to know you. She enjoys being a lap dog and does well in the car, although we recommend using a harness for her safety.

Britt- A124788
Britt is a two-year-old spayed female Mastiff mix with black and white coloring. She knows some tricks, including sit, shake, and lie down. Britt is very gentle when taking treats and, at 80 pounds, she is quite a big girl. She tends to get very excited when she sees other dogs, so it's important to have a firm hold on her leash. Britt is very sweet and loves going for car rides.

Petra- A127060
Petra is a one-year-old spayed female who is a black brindle Catahoula Leopard Hound mixed with Pit Bull Terrier. She is active, intelligent, and loving, with plenty of energy to burn. Petra would thrive in an active home. While she is curious about other dogs when on a leash, she is reactive but not aggressive. With some additional training, she could improve significantly and likely excel in learning new skills.

If you are interested in learning more about these and other adoptable dogs, contact the County of Santa Clara Animal Services Center at (408) 686-3900 or https://animals.santaclaracounty.gov/

The shelter is open Monday through Friday, 12-6, and weekends, 12-5 PM. They are closed on Santa Clara County holidays.
