Happy Foster Friday!! Here are some of the faces that make the saving possible! We can’t tell you how appreciative we are for these beautiful souls who open their homes and hearts for these incredible animals! They are there to work through the slow first days of decompression, to see their personalities open up, to teach them things they may not yet know, and then to give them the incredible gift of watching them find their forever. Thank you, fosters!! You are the reason they get a chance.

Meet Marciano🍇🍷aka Marco

Named after the winery where he was found,at just 8 weeks old, this Doberman puppy and his entire family were dumped on a vineyard. His mom and siblings were rescued, but Marciano had wandered off, and no one knew he was still out there.

For the next three months, he survived completely alone. When he was finally found, he was infested with ticks, covered in bite wounds and scabs, and sick from eating the toxic grapes growing around him.

We saw one photo of him inside the trap and knew there was absolutely no way we were letting him be left behind a second time.

Thank you to Doberman Rescue for helping coordinate his safe arrival. At the shelter, he was terrified and completely shut down, and we had no idea what to expect once he was out. But, as always, DobieConnectCA stepped in to help him feel safe and teach him how to be a puppy for the very first time.

He survived the vineyard. Now Marciano gets to grow up, hopefully with one of you. 🤎

Meet Bubbles 🫧

Bubbles came into West Valley as with his brother as an owner surrender. His brother got adopted, and Bubbles got left behind, and we couldn’t bare to leave that face behind.

He’s 20 pounds and potentially the sweetest dog on the planet. His main interests include cuddling, being held, and sitting directly on top of you and wondering why you briefly stopped petting him.

Bubbles is ready for a forever home that takes snuggling very seriously. 🤍

Milu found her forever home, and naturally, she did it entirely on her own terms. 🖤

Our sweet, sassy girl officially foster-failed and is staying right where she belongs: with the foster who already adored her and her two new siblings. From rescue pup to ruling a house full of poms, Milu really planned this perfectly.

Happy forever, Milu. Stay weird, stay sassy. 🐾✨

Meet Cali! Isn’t she lovely? 🌸💕

Cali came into West Valley as and was placed on the euthanasia list after she began deteriorating and shutting down in the shelter. We couldn’t let that be the end of her story.

She’s a petite 24-pound girl with a dark brown coat and a sensitive little soul. We’re helping her work through her shyness at her own pace, and she is already doing amazingly!

Every day, Cali is showing us a little more of who she is and we can’t wait to watch her keep blooming. She’s safe now and ready to find her people. 🤎🐾

Meet Mama - This is Lorelei. This strong dobie is a survivor. She went through our most intense shelter pull yet…an emergency c-section, nursing and bottle feeding all 6 puppies and rehabilitating her back to health. And now we get to give this deserving lady and her sweet puppies her forever home. 🐾❤️ 🏡 If you can’t adopt remember to help us raise funds to help animals like this sweet girl. ☕️
