We are jumping for joy and THRILLED to announce that ALL of the West Valley 21 dogs have been RESCUED or ADOPTED!!! YES! Not one will ever have to go back to the shelter!
A massive shout out to Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) for welcoming the dogs in to the facility at the drop of a hat. To the 27 volunteers who showed up to transport these dogs with 30 minutes notice, in 30 degree weather. To Deity Animal Rescue and Foundation for endless stream of supplies. Love Malibu for donations, and transporting it all out to us. WUFAW - Women United For Animal Welfare for donating crates and bedding for every dog. To Kurgo for donating coats and harnesses for them. To Best Friends Animal Society - Los Angeles Alyss, and Taylor for stepping up and orchestrating the rescue of EIGHT of the 21, and to Angel City Pit Bulls for taking in THREE!! We were able to take 10 dogs into our prison program (FIVE are already in homes!) because of donations made by Lisa Brown, Cuoco , JoJo Cohen Yorlano and many others. And to our dedicated and humble volunteers and donors for ALWAYS being ready to help.
This is all about COLLABORATION 💙 Rescues helping rescues needs to be the new norm because this wouldn't have happened without it.
