Lenni (named for John Lennon) is pretty excited about her new dog-io or enclosure where she can do her business without fear of predators. The strong side pistons automatically open the large top door for easy cleaning.

Had a blast Sunday at CatCon at the Pasadena Convention Center! 🐾

It’s always great to see weekend emcee and former Purrcast Podcast host Steven Ray Morris. And the ubiquitous Nathan The CatLady is always fun to run into.

My favorite purchase of the day: the crazy comfortable homemade cat beds from the ladies at BOGEY & ROONY CO. Trey refuses to leave the plush bed!

Will and Frankie are entrepreneurs after my own heart with their great new product The Purrgola. It’s the next best thing to a catio!

Speaking of great products, loved seeing former client Ariane manning her Bloody Knife Pet Toys booth.

Met so many other fabulous cat people along the way. 😺

Putting myself out there as Catio Guy for the world to see doesn't come easily or naturally to me. So when I meet people who REALLY put themselves out there every single day, I have a ton of respect for them. And when those people are also cat people. Consider me a fan.

That's why it was such a pleasure to meet at the Kitten Rescue Fur Ball at the Skirball this weekend. Hannah makes millions of people laugh, and she also quietly shows up for cats, including fostering and doing TNR (trap-neuter-return) for community cats.

Thank you, Hannah, for using your platform for good and for being one of us. 🐾

And a huge thank-you to for an incredible night raising money for cats who need it most.

=^..^=

Catios made the New York Times AND SNL's Weekend Update in the same week. 🐱 📰 📺

The New York Times just covered how catios became a real industry, and they quoted me: "It also really did take off fairly dramatically during the pandemic, when people were staying home, not spending money on trips and things like that, but instead doing house improvements and also getting more animals."

Then, a couple of days later, catios landed on the Weekend Update desk. 😂 When SNL is joking about your industry, it's officially mainstream.

PAWsome 🐾 to see the industry get so much attention nearly 10 years and 600 builds after I launched my business.

📰 NYT: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/09/24/realestate/catio-cat-patio-industry-popularity.html

The global “catio” industry could grow by roughly $1 billion in the next decade.
