Ralph needs to get out of the shelter. Since his arrival, he’s been very nervous and anxious, and as time goes on without being chosen, his stress only increases. We’re starting to wonder if this is why he’s being overlooked. Ralph spends his days in his kennel, anxious and hardly responding to people passing by. If you have a calm, welcoming home where Ralph can regain his confidence, please consider fostering or adopting him. It could truly change his life. ❤️

It's kitten season! To learn more about fostering kittens and bottle babies, please visit this shared post for more information on how you can get involved and help during kitten season!

Kitten season is HERE and we need kitten fosters to handle the incoming kitties!

All new fosters that are interested in fostering underage kittens/puppies will need to attend an orientation class!

If you are interested in becoming a bottle baby foster, please email [email protected] to RSVP with the subject line WEST LOS ANGELES Bottle Baby Foster Orientation, and let us know the date you will be attending.

Once you have had orientation on feeding you can foster bottle babies.

If the shelter has bottle babies, a feeding demonstration may take place.

Thank you for your generous donation. These contributions are crucial in supporting the care of animals at evacuation centers and ensuring the safe evacuation of horses and other livestock. LA Animal Services

LA Animal Services would like to give a big THANK YOU to Lisa Waltz and Lange Foundation for their generous donation of the following items that are essential to the Department’s ability to maintain the animals stabled at the evacuation centers, as well as for the safe evacuation of horses and other livestock., including:

- 5 extra large " muck carts"
- 11 muck buckets
- 11 muck forks
- 23 leather halters of various sizes and
- 23 lead ropes

The Department would also like to acknowledge Animal Control Officer Hugh Briefman and his wife Katy, a long-time volunteer with LA Animal Services for securing the donation critical in ensuring we’re ready to respond and assist horses, livestock and large animals in need.
