MY WIFE HAS BEEN LEAVING TALLY MARKS ON HER HAND — WHEN I FOUND OUT WHAT SHE WAS COUNTING, I PALED.
My wife and I recently got married, and a few months into the marriage, she started carrying a pen with her. At random times during the day, she'd leave a tally mark on her hand.
At first, I shrugged it off, but soon it started making me anxious. WHAT WAS SHE COUNTING? Some days, she'd make one or two marks. Other times, five or more in a row. Then, there'd be WEEKS OF NOTHING. I nearly went mad trying to figure it out.
I asked her over and over, but she'd just smile and say, "It helps me remember things." I didn't buy it. Every night, she'd transfer those marks into a journal she kept by her bed. Today, the total hit 68.
Desperate to make sense of it all, I decided to run an experiment to crack her code. Looking back, I wish I didn't. Turns out that all this time she was... ⬇️
