So... I adopted a Rottweiler.
And I’m starting to suspect I accidentally brought home the ghost of a Victorian theatre kid with abandonment issues, a gym obsession, and a serious anger management problem.
She follows me EVERYWHERE.
🚽 Bathroom? There. Staring into my soul like I owe her money.
🍳 Kitchen? Practically breathing down my neck like Gordon Ramsay.
🚪 Taking out the trash? She watches from the doorway like I’m being shipped off to war, whispering, “Come back to me…”
She doesn’t sit.
She poses — legs crossed, head tilted, like she’s starring in a black-and-white Chanel commercial.
✨ Dramatic sighs if I ignore her for five seconds.
🥣 Once refused to eat dinner because her bowl wasn’t “facing the right way.”
And the zoomies?
LORD HAVE MERCY.
One tiny inconvenience and she’s sprinting through the house like the FBI just discovered her search history.
She’s:
🐾 Licked every window in the house.
🧦 Stolen approximately 47 socks.
🛋️ Reorganized my couch cushions without permission.
🍌 Once stole a banana, left the peel on my pillow, and looked me dead in the eyes like it was a warning from the Fruit Cartel.
And the toys?
Oh, the toys.
I’ve bought every so-called “indestructible” dog toy known to mankind.
She destroyed them all like she was personally hired by the demolition industry.
Stuffing EVERYWHERE.
Squeakers murdered.
My living room looked like a crime scene.
Then someone mentioned this **Squeaky Hammer Chew Toy** from GifteClub.
I figured, why not?
Worst-case scenario, she destroys another toy.
BEST-CASE SCENARIO, I GET MY HOUSE BACK.
Well...
The moment she saw that little hammer, something changed.
She grabbed it like Thor had personally appointed her the Goddess of Thunder.
🔨 SQUEAK. SQUEAK. SQUEAK.
Now she carries it around like she’s the foreman of a construction site.
🐾 Runs through the hallway with it.
🔨 Squeaks it like she’s filing a noise complaint against the entire neighborhood.
😂 Occasionally drops it at my feet like, “Human. We have work to do.”
And sometimes?
She just falls asleep with her chin resting on it like it’s her emotional support power tool.
The hammer has survived her enthusiastic play sessions so far.
Which is more than I can say for:
👟 My favorite sneakers.
📺 My TV remote.
🛋️ The corner of my couch.
🧠 And the last remaining pieces of my sanity.
So now I live with a tiny, bearded construction supervisor who works 24/7, pays zero rent, and demands snacks every 15 minutes.
And somehow...
I wouldn't trade her for the world. ❤️🐾
**Dog parents, PLEASE tell me yours acts like this too. 😂🔨**
Because at this point, I’m not raising a dog.
I’m managing a very small, very loud construction company.
