COURTESY POST – HELP NEEDED FOR FOUND DOG!

Meet Luna. This sweet girl was found at a church in the High Desert and is currently being safely cared for by the finder, Marie, who is urgently trying to find her a loving home or rescue placement.

Due to already having multiple dogs, Marie cannot keep Luna long-term and is hoping for community help so Luna does not have to enter the shelter system.

About Luna
• Approximately 1 year old
• Around 40 pounds
• Pit Bull–type mix
• Very sweet, affectionate, and playful
• Loves giving kisses and doing zoomies
• Appears dog-friendly (calm interactions through a fence)
• Wants to be an inside dog
• Protective and alert, but truly a loving companion

Important Notes
• Luna is very afraid of leashes, likely due to past trauma
• She is not microchipped
• Currently being kept outdoors only due to space limitations, which has been very difficult for her

Marie has posted Luna on multiple lost-dog platforms and has contacted several rescues without response. She remains committed to locating an owner but is also open to finding Luna a safe and permanent home if no owner is found.

Meet Kira!
This sweet and spunky pup was rescued along with 13 other dogs from the overcrowded Bakersfield shelter during our Fourth of July rescue mission. At 11 months old, Kira is full of personality, and we’re so happy she’s now safe and starting her journey toward a forever home.

Kira is a black and tan shepherd mix with a playful spirit and a heart of gold. She is playful, sweet and silly. She loves toys and playing with people and other dogs. She spreads smiles everywhere she goes! She is so smart. She’s already mastered crate training, and potty training!

We expect Kira to be around 60-70 pounds when full grown. She’ll go home up to date on all her vaccines (DAPP, Bordetella, and rabies), microchipped, and spayed; ready to start her next chapter with a loving family!

We’re seeking some weekend Fosters for these amazing pups! On 1/24 and 1/25, we are completing some exciting projects at our facility (more on that soon 🐶) that requires full access to our dog rooms. We would love your help to move these babies JUST for that weekend, so that we can make some improvements to their kennels and rooms.
Every dog here is amazing in their own way, and we’d love to help pair you with a dog that will fit easily with your life and routine. You’ll see their pics with some basic info, AND one video of Celeste, because no picture could do her justice! She is so sweet 🥲

Can you help foster a sweet and adorable pup for just two weeks?!
These 11 week old babies are SO sweet, and urgently need Fosters! Our friends i’ve been trying so hard to get these nine pups to safety. They managed to get everyone except these three out of their current situation - that’s where we need your help!

Our rescue will cover anything and everything they need (vetting, shots, supplies, etc) if you can just let them share your home for two short weeks. Then we have another foster available to take all three babies.

Fostering is 100% and all supplies are provided! These babies are healthy, sweet, and just love to cuddle and play! Help us save these babies (they’re not safe for much longer where they are…)

Meet Jinu of our K- Pop Demon Hunter Pups!

Named after the fierce and fearless heroes of your favorite K-pop demon hunters show, Jinu and siblings are around 7 months old and full of heart. They came to us after being rescued from a cruelty and neglect case in Bakersfield. After nearly a month in a shelter and dangerously close to being euthanized, they were finally given a second chance, and they’ve been making the most of it ever since.

Jinu is the sweet soul of the group. He prefers snuggles above playtime. But he is still curious and wants to be a part of the fun, even if he’s more of a quiet observer!
He is incredibly sweet, social, and snuggly! He loves to be held, cuddled, and is great with other dogs. We estimate he’ll be about 40–50 pounds full grown, making him a great medium size for active families or adventure buddies.

We’ve absolutely fallen in love with him and we know you will too!

As always with any puppy from our rescue, the adoption fee covers their first set of shots, microchip, and spay/neuter. Contact us to meet your new best friend today!

Meet the Soup Litter!

Introducing Mommastrone (our fun twist on Minestrone) a gentle, loving mama who was rescued from the Palmdale shelter just in time. Extremely pregnant and out of options, she came into our care and safely delivered her babies only two days later. On October 15th, she welcomed five tiny soups into the world!

Tomato Bisque (female)
Clam Chowder (female)
Split Pea (female)
French Onion (female)
Chicken Noodle (male)

Mommastrone and her babies are estimated Chihuahua mixes, so we expect them to remain small-breed pups once fully grown. So far, the puppies are showing all the best qualities: snuggly, playful, curious, and people-loving. As they continue to grow, we’ll update their individual profiles with more details about their personalities, structure, and needs.

The puppies and mama are available for adoption, we encourage you to apply now at pupswithoutborders.org.

As with all of our dogs, the Soup Litter will go home with:
• Up-to-date age-appropriate vaccinations
• Microchips
• Spay/neuter appointments arranged through our rescue

Meet Catalina!

Catalina is a 6-7 month old Chihuahua mix with a heart as big as her tiny paws! This little girl is as friendly and sweet as they come! She absolutely adores people and wants nothing more than to be close to the ones she loves. Snuggles, cuddles, and cozy naps pressed up against her favorite human are her specialty.

Catalina gets along wonderfully with everyone she meets. She’s gentle with kids, social with other dogs, and greets new friends with a wagging tail and an open heart. Truly, she’s one of those puppies who makes you feel lucky just to know her.

Her journey hasn’t been easy. Catalina was adopted from the Bakersfield shelter, but her family never came back to pick her up. Luckily, we scooped her up and promised her a brighter future! Now she’s ready to find the forever home she deserves.

Catalina is affectionate, adorable, and basically perfect. If you’re looking for a loving little companion who will bring joy, warmth, and endless cuddles into your life, Catalina is your girl!

Theo is a one year old Malinois mix who was found as a stray in Inglewood, and it’s hard to believe no one came looking for such a wonderful dog. He’s incredibly sweet, friendly, and good natured - the kind of dog who wins hearts the moment you meet him!
Theo absolutely loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine buddy, though he’d also be happy soaking up all the attention as your one and only. He was just neutered and is ready to start his next chapter in a forever home. He adores people and greets everyone with a wagging tail and a big smile.
Cats, however, are not Theo’s favorite (he thinks chasing them is a bit too fun) so a cat-free home would be best. If you’re looking for a loving, social, and all around sweet young dog, Theo might just be your perfect match. 💛

Meet Zoey!

Zoey is a 7 month old Malinois/Pitbull mix who currently weighs about 30 pounds and is expected to grow to around 40–50 pounds. She came to us from a cruelty case in Bakersfield after spending nearly a month in the shelter, where she was close to being euthanized. Now safe and thriving, Zoey is truly blossoming into the happy, confident pup she was always meant to be.

This girl is smart, sassy, playful, and very affectionate. She loves wrestling and playing tug of war with other dogs (including her foster’s 60-lb pittie mix), enjoys fetch, hikes, and exploring new places, and knows how to hold her own with bigger dogs while still playing appropriately. When the day winds down, Zoey happily switches gears into cuddle mode and snuggles right up next to her person.

Zoey is food motivated, eager to learn, and already knows sit, down, shake, come, stay, and “nice.” She’s doing great on leash, is nearly fully potty trained, crate trained for sleeping, and can be left alone in her crate for up to two hours. Training has been a breeze, and she’s a joy to live with.

Zoey’s adoption fee includes her vaccines, microchip, and spay. She’s the perfect mix of adventure buddy and cuddle bug  and anyone lucky enough to adopt her is going to be absolutely obsessed!
