These temperatures can become life-threatening for pets and livestock much more quickly than many people realize.

Just as people are advised to limit time outdoors during the hottest part of the day (typically 2โ€“7 PM), seek shade, rest frequently, and stay well hydrated, ๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ฌ๐ž ๐ฌ๐š๐ฆ๐ž ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ž๐œ๐š๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ญ๐จ ๐š๐ง๐ข๐ฆ๐š๐ฅ๐ฌ. Keep in mind, that fireworks are meant to resemble a life-threatening situation. Some pets may tremble, hide, bark excessively, or even try to escape. Itโ€™s not just the noiseโ€”flashes of light and the smell of smoke can also be overwhelming.

Some of you have already met Earl Grey, but many may not know his incredible story.

Just a few short weeks ago, he was found right beyond our parking lot as a tiny kitten weighing ๐ฅ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ง 8 ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐œ๐žsโ€”small enough to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand.

Since then, he's been growing up with us! Through countless bottle feedings, lots of care, and plenty of love, Earl Grey has gone from a fragile little kitten to a healthy, happy kitten now weighing over 1 pound!

Earl Grey is always ready to greet visitors, soak up attention, and make new friends wherever he goes.

We're excited for him to continue making himself at home around the clinic and become one of the first friendly faces you see when you visit us. โค๏ธ

In response to the New World Screwworm cases in Texas, this past weekend TVMA President Dr. Pancho Hubert and Chairman of the Board Dr. Dee Ellis delivered NWS identification tests kits to East Foundation Ranches in the Corpus Christi area, helping support early detection and preparedness efforts.
