Salt Fork Stables, Horseback Riding and Horse Boarding All about Salt Fork Stables. We provide guided horseback riding on our horses and horse boarding. Our trail rides are $25 per hour for each rider.

Salt Fork Stables is a western horseback riding facility in Winterset, Ohio, located 3 miles east of Salt Fork State Park (we are not located in the park itself). Ride days are Thursday through Sunday during the summer season. From September through the end of the season, we are open Saturday and Sunday. We ride through about 10 miles of beautiful wooded trails. We normally take rides out at 10 a.

m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m.. Please call for available times, as the exact days and times may vary depending on the month and the weather. Unfortunately, we cannot take anyone younger than 7 on the trails. We also offer horse boarding. We have stalls available on a short-term basis and pasture available for long-term boarding. Please contact us for additional information.
