WHAT IS A SILVER LAB?
Silver Labs are gray (similar to the color of a Weimaraner), have gray nails, gray noses and have gray pads on their feet. Silver pups' eyes are light blue until 6-8 months old; as adults Silver Labs' eyes are pale yellow (about half the tone of a chocolate lab).

ARE SILVER LABS A PUREBRED LABRADOR RETRIEVER?
DNA testing and mapping of silver labs was done during the close of the twentieth century and meticulous investigation of each silver labs ancestry was conducted by investigators from AKC. All conclusions were the same, i.e., "there was no reason to doubt that the dogs were purebred Labrador Retrievers," (see conclusion issued by AKC). Amazingly, the Flat Earth Opponents of Silver Labs counter these scientific conclusions with the incredibly insane accusation that the "cross-breeding" which allegedly produced the Silver Labs was either covered up by line breeding or happened too long ago to be detected by DNA testing. If anyone ever needed an indication of just how ignorant opponents of Silver Labs are, this statement should be the key. Every K-9 carries in its genes a complete history of its ancestors going all the way back to wolves.

Everything written about the Silver Labs is based upon speculation. One statement that is commonly made is that there had to have been a Weimaraner introduced into the bloodlines to produce the silver color. This statement has been proven false. UC Berkley studied the genetic makeup of the Silver Lab against that of the Weimaraner. Researchers concluded that it was not the same.

WHY DOES THE AKC REGISTER SILVER LABS AS CHOCOLATE?
The AKC Stand on Registration of Silver Labradors: Response of Jack Norton of the AKC on 1/24/00 giving AKC official position on the issue of Silver Labs.

The registry of the American Kennel Club is based on parentage and not the coat color of a member of any breed.

In 1987 the AKC, in corporation with the Labrador Retriever Club of America, conducted an inquiry into the breeding of litters that contained members that were registered as silver. An AKC representative was sent to observe these dogs. The report and color photographs of these dogs were reviewed by AKC staff and representatives of the Labrador Retriever Club of America. Both Parties were satisfied that there was no reason to doubt that the dogs were purebred Labrador Retrievers, however they felt that the dogs were incorrectly registered as silver. Since the breed standard at the time described chocolate as ranging in shade form sedge to chocolate, it was felt that the dogs could more accurately be described as chocolate rather than silver. This remains the current policy of the American Kennel Club. Jack Norton Special Services Dept .

Black Lab (male) from my last litter is looking for a new home due to absolutley no fault of his own as owner was in an accident and is unable to care for him as they recover. He has been raised around kids as well, so if anyone is in the market for a semi older lab at appx 8 months old please feel free to reach out. I would hold him but his mom is currently in heat and I can't have an intact male around her.

It's been a few but just wanted to let everyone know the OG momma Ellie girl (Black Lab) and Sir Trump (Silver Male) will be having in upcoming litter here in the next few months. They will not be AKC registered but as always they will have shots and health certificates. They produce dark chocolate and black labs :)

I justed wanted to take a moment and reflect on my last litter. First and foremost every single pup has been nothing more than a ray of sunshine in our lives from morning to night, the amount of cuddles has been fantastic and our journey is slowly coming to an end. Wait... The p**p cleaning and smell as usual was hands down everyones least favorite part about the experiance 😂But on a serious note I always get backlash for breeding yada yada I get sooo many trolls that harass and adopt don't shop ect. I have adopted many dogs in my lifetime and I have bought purbreds many times as well why harass peope for their choices when it doesn't affect your life? This last litter the Silvers the amount of hate and nasty texts and emails calling me a scammer and such have been insane and where do people get the audacity to harrass people just because you think you know it all? Like if I see something that doesn't align with my beliefs and such I keep scrolling like an adult as everyone is entilted to think and feel the way they feel without someone trying to put their 2 cents in and make them believe what they believe... But negativity aside we had yet again a fantastic experiance and everyone knows I care about my pups, I check in, I watch them grow, I remember every litters new name and what collar they were and former name, best part is my kids learn so much about care and compassion... I also had some awesome team work and parterning with Delilah's former owners to find everyone homes and we have had some obstacles but worked awesome as a team... And stay tuned for a future litter as it's looking like Barbie and Rose may possibly have homes as of today I have several showings and they are soooo sweet and special and deserve the world.... And as always thank you friends for always sharing and helping these beautiful dogs find awesome homes.
