Sadler saw our awesome vet and we have care plan in place. Most of his issues are from neglect and very poor nutrition prior to winding up in the shelter. He’s a a happy boy in spite of his circumstances. When he gains enough weight to be neutered he will also need a dental done. he’s not that old, but poor nutrition has caused his teeth to be in bad shape.
Thank you to all who have donated. Your kindness is appreciated
💔 MEET SADLER — A LIFE WE COULDN’T WALK AWAY FROM 💔
What we think may be a Frenchton • Skin & Bones • Covered in Sores • Still Fighting
Some dogs stop you in your tracks — and Sadler was one of them.
We pulled this sweet boy from another shelter because we simply could not say no. He stood there trembling, nothing but ribs and heartbreak, covered in sores, and so painfully thin it brought our volunteers to tears right on the spot.
We believe Sadler may be a Frenchton (French Bulldog/Boston Terrier mix), but until he’s healthier and fully evaluated, we can’t say for certain. What we do know is this:
Sadler is hurting.
Sadler needs help.
And Sadler deserves better.
He sees our wonderful vet tomorrow, and only then will we know the full extent of what he’s facing — but we already know he didn’t get this way overnight. Someone failed him long before he ended up at that shelter.
But Texas Star Rescue won’t.
We’re going to give Sadler the medical care, nutrition, safety, and love he should have always had — and we need your help to do it.
🐾 Every donation — even $5 — goes directly toward Sadler’s medical care.
🐾 Anything left over will go toward the many other animals in our care.
🐾 If you can’t donate, please share Sadler’s story.
