Good morning! We adopted a Cane Corso from a rescue, he’s a year and 1 month, super sweet and gentle, very well behaved, and you can tell he’s had training and from my research he’s just slightly underneath his recommended weight. He’s currently 106lbs. Was 105 when we adopted him and everything I’ve read is that he’s recommended to be between 110-115lbs. We’ve only had him for about a week and a half so far so I know getting him to the proper weight is going to take some time. I currently have him on Diamond Naturals Large breed Puppy Lamb and Rice kibble (The purple and white bag), we have his food and water elevated and a slow feeder maze bowl. I just ordered some omega 3 fish oil supplements for his skin and coat and I was wondering what else should I add to his kibble to keep him healthy and happy! He’s currently on antibiotics right now for a respiratory infection from kennel cough, adding this information in incase there’s anything I need to avoid while he’s on the antibiotics.
Here’s some pics of my good boy, Re*****on!
Pictures don’t do him justice for his size 🤣
I want to add that I’m not looking to bulk him up, I’m aware that around 2-3 years is when they start bulking. I’m just asking for advice to get him to his recommended weight and what to do to help with that 🤍
