Dog training doesn’t have to mean hour-long sessions every day. The little moments matter most: practicing “place” while you cook, working on leash manners during potty breaks, or asking for a calm sit before meals.

Finnegan’s learning that once he’s on his spot, that’s where he stays—no sneaking off the edge! A quick correction, a reset, and lots of “good boy” when he gets it right 💛
It’s all about consistency and clear boundaries… and he’s getting there!

Puppy University Learning to Communicate!

Big time with puppies is always very important. And again, has a new bestie that's little Miss Tina. Not only does it help get their energy out, they learn how to communicate with other dogs that are at a similar communication level as opposed to only communicating with adult dogs. There's a whole lot of communication happening, which is good. Good boy, good girl.

Teaching “DOWN” isn’t always perfect—and that’s okay 🐾 Finnegan is still figuring it out, so today was all about celebrating the little wins. Even if he doesn’t go all the way down, he still gets a “good boy” for trying 💛 We’re practicing two ways: ✨ Guidance without treats (building understanding) ✨ Luring with treats (helping him follow the motion) And when he finally gets that full “down”? That’s when the BIG praise comes 🎉 Every dog learns at their own pace—patience, consistency, and small victories make all the difference.

Today’s lesson with Finnegan: learning “DOWN” 🐾 Training isn’t always glamorous—it takes patience, balance, and a lot of repetition (especially from a seated position 😅). We worked on guiding him from sit → stay → down, using calm pressure, consistency, and lots of praise. Sometimes he nails it right away… sometimes that little butt pops right back up 😂 But that’s all part of the process. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s progress. And every small win deserves BIG happy praise: “Good boy!!”
