60 gallon is finally stocked some! It will eventually be used to hold males/females that I will be selling. I have a couple hybrid females that aren't breeding for me that part of me wants to sell but then again i'm like...meh

So I accidentally learned something new about fish today. Apparently if you move their light to the side of their tank, their body gets confused and gets thrown off balance because light helps their orientation and balance, so they will soon started to swim slanted aiming their bodies towards the light. This returns to normal as soon as the light is moved back on top of their tank

Leak testing the 60 gallon to set it back up! I debated whether to sell it or keep it or what to do with it but it was a birthday gift from my Grandmaw and the tank that got me started into fish breeding (Had fish for longer) so I just can't find myself to part with it. Thinking about letting this be my breeder tank

Nothin' like an unexpected bath in some good ol' fish dookie water lol
For context: The FX4 had stopped running so I took drained it completely so I could remove the motor and check the impeller and I thought I had all the water emptied but I infact, did not, and when I unscrewed the motor and removed it, I got soaked (I had it sitting in my lap) 🤣 and so did my freshly mopped floors lol

Batch 2 of babies! Some are deformed it appears but that is expected with hybrid lines. These are by the same parents of the other fry, just a different batch.

Second batch of babies growing heads! After many many many batches of infertile eggs and fish just not breeding, I am so happy that i'm finally having successful breedings again!

I have 2 deformed fry from the batch, I should cull them but I really hate doing that 😭
