Hello everyone, Dr. Deaton here! 👋🏻
Over the last several months I have seen a growing number of dogs test positive for heart worm disease.

To put it simply, heart worms are spread by infected mosquitos, once the infected mosquito bites your dog the heartworms make their way through the dog's bloodstream and can grow to be up to 10-12 inches. This causes all sorts of damage to the heart and can be deadly.

The good news is...this is 100% preventable!

Although St. Patrick’s Day has been contorted throughout the years, we celebrate this holiday because St. Patrick is known for bringing Christianity to the people of Ireland after escaping enslavement. It has been said that he used the three leaves of the shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
