Colonial Animal Hospital is hiring for the position of veterinarian nurse/technician. Please send a resume to [email protected]
Experience Required:
Veterinary technician: 5 years

Required skills:
Ability to communicate with clients
Assist with physical exams of patients
Properly restrain animals during exams or procedures
Take and record vital signs
Draw blood and collect stool samples and perform laboratory tests, cytologies, etc.
Prepare animals for surgery and assist with surgeries
Take and process x-rays
Clean and polish teeth
Remove sutures, clean wounds, and change dressings
Trim nails and a**l gland expression
Maintain and update patient records
Clean and sterilize instruments, equipment, and exam rooms
Fill prescriptions, prepare and label medications
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments prescribed by the veterinarian
Be able to lift and handle animals easily
Knowledge of Cornerstone would be a plus but not required.

Tuesday 12/24 to Thursday 12/26 we will be closed.

Tuesday 12/31 we close at 12:00pm and we are closed all day Wednesday 1/1.
