IMPORTANT STRAY ANIMAL INFORMATION ✔✔✔

Most stray pets are only STEPS away from their homes. At LPAS, it is our goal to always keep pets with their families and optimize their chances of returning home safely. We have tracked the data for more than 2 years, and we've learned that pets are FIVE TIMES more likely to be reunited with their owners if they are NOT brought to the animal shelter. Wild, right?!

That's because our community is AMAZING, and neighbors look out for neighbors here!

Keeping owned pets out of the animal shelter allows us to have space for the community's most vulnerable population. Help us keep families together and follow these steps for stray animal sightings! 💜💙

Lafourche Parish Animal Shelter recently received a $25,000 grant from PetSmart Charities to help more adoptable pets find people to love! Adoptable pets will be available at the following times and PetSmart locations:
Cats: March 24-30th , during operating hours
Dogs: March 25, 27, and 29th 9am-noon
