We had our first open show of 2025 and it sure was a long one! We've been coming to the Madison County Open Show for years and this was the biggest one I've ever seen. Our crew did really well and performed great. This was both Stacy and Bryson's first time showing and both placed in top 5 out of over 20 riders. Stacy did great with her big boy Apache, even pulling her first ever check. Together they earned 2nd in $100 Halter, 4th in Walk/Jog Western Pleasure, and 5th in Western Showmanship. This was Reagan's first time showing both Apache and Uno. She did really well with both of the bigger horses is multiple disciplines. Reagan and Apache placed 3rd in Ranch Showmanship, 4th in Western Horsemanship, and 4th in Western Pleasure. Bryson had his first ever horse show and did wonderful. He showed Chance and had an excellent time. They placed 5th in Ranch Pleasure and 5th in Crossrails. Abby and Prada have made massive improvements since this show last year. This was Abby's first time showing English and loved it. They placed 4th in Ground Poles. Bryson, Reagan and Abby showed in every discipline and were very patient for the 15 long hours of horse show time. I'm so proud of these horse loving humans and how hard they work! Thank you to the MC Open Show Series for putting on a great show and thank you to Terry Myers for being a patient and excellent Judge. We will be back for the next one!
