You can never stop learning. I had a great time taking some lessons on these 2! This was Capone’s (the grey) very first time jumping. He couldn’t have been any more of a gentleman. Duval got to jump some bigger sticks today!

If I could impart one piece of knowledge on my fellow horse lovers and those aspiring to train or participate in the horse industry in any professional capacity, it would be that every horse and owner that crosses your path is an opportunity. Each and every horse, whether easy or difficult, good- or ill-minded, is an opportunity for you to learn, grow your skills, meet people, make lasting connections, and further your knowledge and ability. You learn what works, what doesn’t, what you like, and what you don’t, and you meet people along the way who will help you and teach you something about yourself. Not every horse is easy, and not every person is kind, but you will learn something. Whether that’s a skill to get through to a tough horse, how to set boundaries and learn your worth, or even something as simple as learning which bloodlines or breeds you like and which personalities you either clash with or mesh and soar with. Treat every experience as an opportunity and use it to better yourself. Be grateful.

It was a great day for RHKPH at the CSHA Summer sizzle Show!

💥 Breahna and Gracie took home a 1st place for their ranch riding pattern and 2 seconds in some large rail classes against some other very good kids!

💥 Maysie and Lady won their ranch reining class and placed well in every other class they competed in!

💥 Bentley and I won our ranch reining class and took second place for our (quite large) ranch rail class.

💥 Whiz rode around like a little star for his first real outing and really showed well against a big group of seasoned horses!

💥 Last but certainly not least, Lindy and Tuesday had an excellent time riding around using this as a confidence building trip and are looking forward to the next one!

The arena is great and has its uses, but as soon as I’m relatively confident I’m not going to get left in the dirt we go outside! We all know horses aren’t built to go in circles all day, and especially not babies who are growing! So lots of straight lines and seeing new things! Bonus points if you have a bunch of dogs that like to run around and help desensitize 😉

aka Tuesday

Tuesday is a strikingly beautiful 6 year old registered half Arabian mare looking for the right fit. She is forward thinking and likes to work. Tuesday is sensitive and aware of her surroundings. With 3 floaty ground covering gates and a big personality, she’s likely the right fit for you if you’re a quiet rider who can take a joke and wants to cover some ground. Tuesday is still on the greener side and is suitable for an intermediate/advanced rider. I feel she would be best suited as your next endurance mount or maybe even western dressage. Tuesday has a very good handle on her, she counterbends, sidepasses, leg yields, opens/closes gates, and will walk over simple bridges. Though she is not for a beginner I’m able to coach a young student through successful rides with her, meaning she will listen but is not suitable for someone who doesn’t understand how to problem solve and lead the way on their own. The mountain trail portion of her video was her first experience on some difficult trails and she really rose to the occasion navigating rocks and downed logs with quiet encouragement. Tuesday stands at just over 14.3 and is located in Livingston.

Alright folks, I have a very fancy moving and drop dead gorgeous 6 year old mare coming available soon. She’s for an intermediate or advanced rider, but sure is a lot of fun on the trail. I think this one would make an excellent endurance horse!

Great day at CSHA Region IV Summer sizzle show. Bentley ended up placing 2nd in his first ever Reining pattern and I couldn’t have been more pleased with his effort today!

I also brought some youngsters along for the trailer miles and they all handled the day well. Looking forward to the next one !
