💕 Sometimes love doesn't need words... it just needs a good scratch. 💕
Meet Littles, our miniature mare, and Biggie Smalls, our miniature donkey.
These two came to Happy Endings Sanctuary of Texas together about six years ago as an owner surrender, and they've been inseparable ever since.
What they're doing is called mutual grooming. Horses and donkeys gently nibble and scratch each other's neck, back, and withers at the same time. It's how they bond, build trust, and strengthen lifelong friendships.
No treats. No expectations. Just two best friends reminding each other, "I've got you."
After everything they've been through, watching moments like this is a beautiful reminder that kindness heals... one tiny nibble at a time. ❤️🐴🫏

🐾 Adopt a Bag Update! 🐾
Yesterday we kicked off our Adopt a Bag fundraiser, and we're already 2 bags closer to filling the entire pallet! ❤️
A huge thank you to our first two supporters for getting the ball rolling. Every 50 lb bag purchased helps keep our sanctuary dogs fed and brings us one step closer to having a stocked feed room.
Our goal is to purchase all 40 bags from the pallet Romayor Feed Store ordered specifically for the dogs at Happy Endings Sanctuary of Texas.
Buying in bulk means we'll have dog food for quite a while, giving us one less thing to worry about and allowing more of our available funds to go toward emergency veterinary care, medications, and the next animal that desperately needs our help.
