It's Sunday, and it's their day to be fed. These two red fish move so fast it's near impossible to get a picture; they get in each other's space and they're out as fast as they got in, but this time I got them. In the meantime, the cat, Milo, not shown in this post, has decided to play with the container of food that had been set out for me to use to feed the fish. Milo is like a Curious George; he knocks it off the table, it hits the floor, the top cracks open, the food comes out a bit and sticks on the outer sides, etc. Now that Milo has me where he wants me, and I don't even know it, I take the fish container mess and start to feed the fish and get it off the container. Stuff is sticky, doesn't want to come off, and it sticks to my fingers, etc. Next thing I hear a krinkle and a clunk, and he's long gone with the cat treat bag like a raccoon with the golden ticket, good grief! I finish feeding the fish. I now need to track down the cat. Scanned the first floor, nope, went up to his room upstairs, but nope. Checked the whole first floor again, nope. Went down to the basement, yup. Got him! Mangled treat bag with holes in it. He did a good job! He only needed about two more minutes, and I would have been buying more treats. I might have to anyway, at the rate things are going. I played fetch, kinda, with him, something I have been teaching him. I throw a treat or two, he runs and gets them and eats them, I call him with his name and a special high-pitched kiss, and teach them to come back, and then give them another treat, so if they ever get out, these indoor cats, you should be able to use the technique outside when lost, and then repeat a few times. Overall a fun first visit. 😊🌹🌹
