Meet Boris!
3-month-old Pit Bull Terrier Mix

Boris is basically a professional cuddler who happens to be a puppy. He loves people, attention, and being as close to you as physically possible. If you’re looking for a dog who will happily sleep next to you all night, Boris has already submitted his application.

But don’t let his love of cuddles fool you—Boris has plenty of puppy energy, too. He loves exploring the backyard, playing with the other dogs, and then crashing on the couch for a very serious nap.

He’s crate trained and does great settling in his crate while his people are away. He’s also great with kids and other dogs.

He’s still working on the whole “potty outside” concept, but he’s making great progress. He is, after all, only 3 months old and has more important things to worry about… like when his next nap is happening.

Boris is looking for a family who’s ready for puppy antics, lots of love, and an excessive amount of cuddling.

FOSTERS NEEDED - CRUELTY CASE 🩷

We have 2 cases coming our way that truly stopped us in our tracks.

Leigha and Tank were found in Houston, chained up with no food, no water, and no shelter in 100-degree Texas heat. They were severely underweight, exhausted, and suffering from unimaginable neglect. 💔

Leigha is a 4-year-old brindle female, 49 lbs, suspected Mastiff mix, and Heartworm positive.

Tank is a 3-year-old black and white male, just 39 lbs, suspected Staffy/Boxer mix.

Their bodies tell the story of everything they’ve endured. But what has touched us most is that somehow, despite it all, they are still incredibly loving, trusting, and friendly. 🩷

Both have been wonderful with the shelter staff and have shown nothing but sweetness toward the people caring for them. They are good dogs who were failed by people, and we want their next chapter to be completely different.

We want them to know full bellies, soft beds, gentle hands, safety, comfort, and what it feels like to finally be loved and wanted.

Thankfully, we can bring Leigha and Tank to LOLA’s in Colorado, but we need fosters to make that possible.

They are expected to arrive around 9/16, as long as their health and weight gain continue to stay steady in Houston.

Leigha will need a longer-term foster while she goes through Heartworm treatment and continues to recover. Tank will also need a safe, loving foster home where he can finally begin to heal.

💙 They can be separated and placed in two different foster homes.

These two have already survived the worst. Now they just need someone willing to show them that life can be different.

If you can open your home to Tank or Leigha, please reach out to us. 🩷

You don’t have to save them alone. You just have to give them a safe place to land while they heal.

This is more than fostering. This is changing the entire course of their lives.

🐾 Billie

Basic Stats

S*x: Male

DOB: 1/6/2026

Age: 7 months

Spayed/Neutered: No

Vaccines: First shots only

Size: Small

Personality: Sweet, brave, curious, playful, affectionate

Billie is a super sweet, brave little boy with a big personality. Even when he is scared, he continues to show courage and confidence, and he has become a wonderful source of reassurance for his friend Boyd.

Billie is incredibly curious and people-oriented. Once he chooses his person, he wants to be right beside them—playing, cuddling, and soaking up attention. One of his favorite things is diving into your arms or climbing into your lap for pets and hugs. He loves toys and has already discovered the toy box, so he is always ready for some fun.

Billie is also helping Boyd learn confidence. He will confidently head outside to potty, and Boyd often follows his lead. Billie is a little role model for his more cautious friend and seems to naturally encourage him to explore.

Although Billie is brave, he can still be scared and does best when he has the support of people he trusts. He may cry when he's in his crate and knows his people are nearby because he wants to be with them. Despite that, Billie does well in his crate and has learned to use it as a safe place.

Billie can be adopted on his own and has the confidence and personality to thrive with a family of his own.

He enjoys being outside in the yard once he feels comfortable, and Billie is especially happy when he can explore, play, and be close to his people.

Billie is a loving, playful, courageous little puppy who would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a dog who wants to be involved in everything they do—and who isn't going to turn down an invitation for a lap cuddle.

Meet Marki! 🐾💙

At under 5 pounds, Marki is basically pocket-sized — but somehow he packed a whole LOT of Chihuahua into that tiny body.

Marki is whiny. He’s shaky. He’s dramatic. And he is absolutely adorable about all of it. His favorite place in the world is in your arms, and if he’s not being held, he’ll be sure to let you know. He’s basically a tiny, trembling little alarm system whose only emergency is “PLEASE PICK ME UP.”

And honestly? He’s just being a Chihuahua. He’s embracing the stereotype with his whole 5-pound-or-less self.

The sweetest part is that Marki has been friendly with cats, dogs, and toddlers. He’s affectionate, people-oriented, and happiest when he’s snuggled up close.

Tiny body. Big Chihuahua energy. Maximum cuddles.

Meet Marki — your future tiny arm accessory! 🥰

Meet Your New Best Friend, Natalie!

Don't let her petite size fool you—this sweet little Bull Terrier mix has a big personality packed into one adorable package! At around a year old, she's the perfect combination of playful puppy energy and champion-level cuddle bug.

She recently made the trip from Houston and is still settling into her new surroundings, but every day she's growing more confident. She's already figuring out important life skills like climbing stairs and learning "sit," and she's soaking up everything like the smart little pup she is.

When she first met the resident dog pack, she was understandably a little nervous and appreciated slow, thoughtful introductions. Once she realized everyone wanted to be friends, though, she jumped right into the fun! Now she's happily participating in three-way puppy wrestling matches and loving every minute of it. While she's a bit cautious with new dogs at first, humans are an easy win—you'll have her heart in no time.

Like any self-respecting Terrier mix, she believes personal space is highly overrated. If you're sitting down, she's convinced that's an invitation to snuggle as close as physically possible. Whether it's curling up on the couch for a cozy evening or joining you on a weekend hike, she's happiest when she's with her people.

Being just a year old means she's got plenty of energy for games, zoomies, adventures, and exploring the great outdoors. She'd make an amazing hiking buddy, playmate, or family companion, then happily settle in for a well-earned cuddle session afterward.

If you're looking for a dog with a playful spirit, a loving heart, and enough personality to keep you smiling every day, this little girl is ready to wiggle her way right into your life—and probably your lap, too.

Want to see Nelson now versus before? The transformation is CRAZY. 😭❤️

Meet Nelson!

If ever there was a dog who proves that love can work miracles, it's Nelson.

When this handsome brown Staffordshire mix first arrived from Houston, he looked more like a little naked mole rat than a dog. Severe mange had left him nearly hairless. Fast-forward to now, and look at him! 🥹 His coat is growing back, his skin is healing beautifully, the itching is gone, and his sweet personality has been shining through from day one.

Nelson is a goofy, affectionate guy who absolutely adores people. He'll happily wander over for scritches, lean in for pets, or flop over for a belly rub. He's the kind of dog who just wants to be loved—and he'll return that love tenfold.

He's also VERY food motivated, which has made training a breeze! In just a few short days, he's already making great progress with potty training and learning his basic commands. With some treats and consistency, this smart boy is going to be a pro in no time.

Nelson has settled in nicely with the other dogs in his foster home and has shown great social skills. Because food was likely a precious resource in his past, he can be protective at mealtime, so feeding separately is the best plan for now. He happily takes treats alongside the other dogs, though, and we think he'll continue to gain confidence with positive experiences.

And when it comes to playtime? Nelson is ALL IN! He's got the energy and stamina to be an awesome hiking buddy, wrestling partner, or adventure sidekick. Once the fun is over, he's more than happy to cash in on cuddles and belly rubs.

Nelson has overcome more in his short life than most dogs ever should. Yet somehow, he still greets each day with a wagging tail, a goofy grin, and an open heart.

He's resilient. He's loving. And he's SO ready for the next chapter. ❤️

Trust us—Nelson is absolutely worth the meet. 🐾

Meet Scanner aka Crystal 💎🐾

Hi there! I came into rescue with the name Scanner, but my foster mom took one look at me and said, “Absolutely not. That sounds like office equipment.” 😂 So now I’m Crystal, which is much more fitting for a pretty girl like me!

I recently made the big move from Texas and I’m ready to discover my future as a Colorado dog. Hiking? Running? Mountain adventures? Patio brunches? I’m interested in all of it! Well… eventually. 😉

Right now, I’m majoring in Confidence Building with a minor in Learning How to Dog. At just 5 months old and 30 pounds, I’m working hard on things like:

🐾 Walking through doorways without assuming they’re portals to doom
🐾 Relaxing in my crate without filing a missing-person report on my humans
🐾 Walking on a leash without turning into a pancake when something looks suspicious
🐾 Figuring out that toys are actually fun
🐾 Accepting treats without accidentally sampling your fingers
🐾 Learning that when my humans call my name, good things usually happen

I came from a difficult situation, so I can be shy when faced with new things. What I need most is a patient family willing to show me that the world is actually a pretty wonderful place.

And the good news? I’m getting braver every day. My foster mom keeps telling me I’m pretty and a good girl, and honestly… I’m starting to believe her. ❤️

I do great with the other dogs in my foster home, and the cats are fascinating creatures, but I’m not spending my days plotting their demise. We’re all good!

My absolute favorite activity, though? Snuggling on the couch next to my people and soaking up every bit of attention I can get. If competitive cuddling were an Olympic sport, I’d be training for gold. 🥇

My foster mom says I’m the kind of girl who will just match her family. If you want to spend eight hours lounging on the couch, I’m in. Want to go hiking and explore? I’m in for that too!

So if you’re looking for a petite girl with a huge heart, endless potential, and a willingness to learn, I just might be your perfect match.

Love,
Crystal 🐾💖
