🚨 RODI FILTER REMINDER 🚨
When was the last time you changed your RODI filters?
Our replacement schedule may not be your schedule, but here's what we do on our 7-stage system:
🔹 Sediment Filter – Monthly
🔹 Chloramine Blaster Carbon #1 – Monthly
🔹 Chloramine Blaster Carbon #2 – Monthly
🔹 Cation Resin – Monthly
🔹 Anion Resin – Monthly
🔹 Mixed Bed DI – Monthly
🔹 RO Membrane – Every 3 Months
Why so often?
Through ICP testing, we've found that even when our TDS meter still reads 0, contaminants can begin slipping through. For us, silica is usually the first thing to show up. Because of that, we change filters before the TDS meter ever reaches 1.
For the average re**er:
✅ Most prefilters and DI resins can often go around 3 months.
✅ RO membranes can commonly last around 6 months.
For reference, our source water is approximately 150 TDS.
📉 Fresh membrane output: ~2 TDS
📈 If membrane output reaches 4 TDS, it's time for replacement—regardless of age.
The DI stages then polish that water back down to 0 TDS before it reaches our systems.
Don't wait for a problem in your tank to tell you it's time to change filters. Prevention is always cheaper than correction.
