As of 10/1/25, we now carry vaccines and can provide general wellness services and Out West Veterinary Urgent Care is a locally owned veterinary hospital located in West Little Rock. We provide urgent and emergency small animal veterinary care by a dedicated staff of Veterinarians, Certified Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, Kennel Assistants, and Patient Coordinators. OWVUC has servi

ces such as digital radiographs, ultrasound, and a full surgical suite. We do carry Anti-Venom for snake bites, and can do blood transfusions, as blood is available. In the near future, we will be purchasing an endoscope and other pieces of equipment to help us better serve our patients. We are a walk-in hospital that operates on a first-come, first-served basis. However, we do triage cases so critical or life-threatening cases are always taken first. We do our very best to see patients as quickly as possible but during busy times such as weekends, there may be a wait to be seen due to the number of patients we see during the day. Please remember that we also care for currently hospitalized patients which can impact wait time. Because we realize that waiting is difficult, we offer complimentary beverages and snacks. It works by binding to certain toxic substances in the stomach and intestines, helping prevent them from being absorbed into the bloodstream. This can reduce the severity of poisoning and help the body eliminate the toxin more safely.

Activated charcoal is not effective for every toxin, so it should only be given under the guidance of a veterinarian.
