🚨 TEMPORARY PAUSE ON SCHEDULING 🚨
Hey Rebel Ruff family — I’ve got some tough news to share.

I’m going to have to pause all new grooming appointments for the time being while I figure out what’s going on with my elbow. (Apparently, body parts don’t like repetitive motion for hours a day — who knew? 🙄)

On top of that, I’ve recently lost my second set of hands in the shop, which means desheds and bath-only services are also off the table for now. Without the extra help, and with my arm being a little dramatic, it’s just not possible for me to do them safely or thoroughly by myself.

This is so not what I wanted, and I’m heartbroken to step back like this — but health has to come first so I can come back strong and continue giving your pups the care they deserve. 💔🐾

Thank you all so much for your patience, support, and understanding during this frustrating (and painful) time. I’ll keep everyone updated the moment I have more info and a game plan!

Not everyone can do it.
Not because they can't pick up a pair of clippers and learn blade sizes.
Not because a grooming table is expensive.
Not because the long days and heavy lifting are tolling on the body.
Not because building up clientele is difficult.
Not everyone can do it because not everyone can read the room.
Not everyone will
Willingly putting themselves in a bite zone because in that moment you value the dogs comfort over your face.
Not everyone can bring their own energy down for a vibe sensitive dog.
Not everyone can convince an animal that the pain they came in with, isn't the groomers fault.
Not everyone can get bit and instead of reacting with force, instead react slowly and calmly.
Grooming isn't just balancing the symmetry of a groom.
Grooming isn't just nail clipping and a sudsy bath.
Grooming is changing your body language
Grooming is slowing your heart rate
Grooming is fluid movements when the natural response is Jerky.
Not many can do the job well because to balance the energy of 1,2,3,7+ animals who don't speak your language is harder than it seems
Grooming is more than a Grooming loop and a 3 point tether
Grooming is more than a muzzle
Grooming is instinctively knowing when you can be in charge and when you won't win if the animal flips the script on a dime.
Not everyone can do it, not because they can't pick up a pair of clippers and learn a haircut. But because the most important aspects of Grooming can't be taught.
