A very huge and heartfelt thank you to The Leather Elves for the donations brought to us on Rockstar Rescue Tour.

A big thank you to all of their sponsors who also made this possible. It was truly a wonderful experience to be part of.

Chris & I took over the operations back in 2021 and still in tears that we have brought this dream of Roseberry this far. We started out adopting our boy Charlie from Mary Kay & Randy. That was when we saw how much these birds can lose themselves in our world. I promised Charlie I would be his last stop & I would do anything to protect him. He didn't have to hurt anymore. At the time of this, I was hurting from losing my brother & nephew in a terrible accident. Many didn’t know, but I didn't want to live anymore. I couldn’t see the point & i couldn’t find that light at the end of the tunnel. Charlie saved me and then this rescue saved me more.

Many know that Roseberry's reputation was struggling. Health issues tore it down and Mary Kay & Randy couldn't keep up. Instead of being offered help, people just complained instead, tearing the rescue down.

8 months Chris & I spent with them just helping. Cleaning and selling what we could. Trying to provide comfort after watching their dream fade. We couldn’t watch it fade. The first year we did everything ourselves. Most was rebuilding Roseberry. It was so bad, we didnt know if it could be possible. Many times we asked ourselves, can we do this...should we do this...and we did!

Then we brought on a very trusted group of 5 fosters who specialize with specific species. Having so many birds in one space, doesn’t help them. Our team works and succeeds because we all have the same goal, this is for the birds. This is all because they need a human voice to ensure their safety.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we don’t deserve them. Not even close to it, but I thank god everyday that I have them. My life is completed in aspects I didn’t know I needed.

Another special thank you to our donors. Everyone who bought the boxes, went to a gift card donation from The Leather Elves. Our supporters pulled in $850 to be used on toys from them.

Dani’s beak cancer is progressing very fast ☹️ the first picture is last night. Very last picture is when it first started. We aren’t sure how long this girl has left with us. I pray we have until Winter with her. Her actual beak material is barely existing on the side. What’s left feels like plastic. The decay smell… man it’s brutal. Keep praying for our wonderful Dani aka Goblin as we navigate this journey with her ☹️
