Lovies update!! So our peach faced kiddo… we named him Bumpkin. Our other sweetie pants is named Pocket! She loves hanging out in the sleeves of baggie hoodies 😂😂

Bumpkin aka mango, just… man what a trooper. Amazing recovery so far. He is full of energy bursts, but tires so quickly. He is eating on his own and pushing himself with what’s comfortable. He has some anxiety. He will cry if he cannot see me. Trauma bond ☹️

His absolute favorite thing, is sleeping on blankets and watching crime tv. 😂

Pocket is also a gem! She is in good health, but also has the butchered wings/tail. She will be seeing Dr. Wolfe for an exam.

Due to how badly the wings and tail were butchered, they will likely require feather surgery. This will entail removing damaged wing & tail feathers. Our hope is the new ones will grow through. There is a possiblitt that they might not. We are super optimistic they will regrow. Then they can fly around and enjoy the simple things ❤️

Asking for prayers for this sweet kid. He came to us late last night. Neurological issues and severe pain. His wings were butchered and he has no tail. It was a long night staying up with him & tending to him every hour.

He’s currently being rushed to Dr. Wolfe ❤️

If you’d like to help us with his vet expenses, it would be beyond appreciated. We are just hoping he pulls through 😭😭❤️

Banshee is a sulfur crested Cockatoo who is 19 years old. He is really looking for a man to call his own. He is not a fan of women at all !!!!!!!!! He’s a good boy just looking to be a man’s best friend!!!

And did you know, he can eat a pistachio without breaking the shell! He’s definitely got some talent!

If you think Banshee could be your right hand man, let us know!!!

Athena says thank you for all the nuts that have been shipping or dropped off! You all helped fill some crops and now we must clean up after them!

Buttcheeseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee aka Butch says we are out of pistachios and that causes this raging face(he stole this towel and ran through the house with it).

If anyone can/able to please donate some pistachios(shelled & unsalted) and/or shelled walnuts, our feathered kiddos would beyond appreciate it 🥰❤️

Happy Hump day!!!
With Easter around the corner we are going to be doing a “Fill the Easter Basket” campaign.
Each day or so we will list items that are needed to fill the baskets of our feathered kiddos!

Todays Fill the basket item is
Pistachios

(Unsalted in the shell)

Our kiddos go through about 10 lbs of pistachios every month!
They are great for large to smaller beaks, and because they are a softer shell many of our older or disabled birds are able to enjoy them.
They are also a great smaller treat used for training !

Update: Racing club located. Original owner moved to AZ. Waiting on one more contact to confirm they didn’t take ownership. Pigeon is currently with Dr. Wolfe receiving medical care 😇

Anyone missing a white pigeon? Found in Little Chute at Excellerate.

This poor baby has 2 severe deep gashes. 1 under the top part of the wing & 1 around the neck.

He’s on heat, electrolytes and pain meds until we can get him to Dr. Wolfe tomorrow. We cleaned his wounds with saline and letting him rest for the night.

This kiddo appears to be older and has an orange band.

Meet Banshee!

Mr. Banshee is a 19 year old assumed male Sulfur Crested Cockatoo.

Mr: Banshee secretly identifies as a cockatiel. He’s often singing & making cockatiel noises. We tried to tell him he’s clearly way too big for these shenanigans, but we can all play pretend right?

Banshee is not a fan of dogs, so he must be in a home with no dogs OR allowed time out with the dogs away. He spent too many years in a cage because a dog became a new family member.

Banshee doesn’t seem to mind children, but we see the worlds smallest binoculars with a mean mugging Banshee on the other end 😈 As always, supervision required. These T-Rexes or mystical kids, don’t have arms, they have beaks. That is what they express with. Good, bad and sometimes ugly(and usually proud afterwards)

Banshee has decided he really needs & craves a male handler. He tolerates women, but always adding a new name to his list of hate 😂😂😂

Banshee is unsure of hands, so patience will be the key to his heart(and don’t forget the treats!)
