Westside Animal Emergency Clinic is a small animal hospital that has been an important part of the community for 19 years. We have recently expanded into a state of the art, 6,000 sq ft facility.
Looking for individuals who:
have stellar communication skills
rock the ability to multi-task
enjoy laughter and good music
are chill and able to perform well under pressure in a fast paced environment both independently and as a team member
enjoy occasional Nerf gun wars to help relieve stress during hectic shifts and won't fuss if accidentally shot above the shoulders
are self motivated and detail oriented, but also work cohesively with our amazingly fantastic staff and DVMs
like double time pay on major holidays
are computer literate with strong typing skills
able to lift 40+ pounds (and enjoy bragging rights on being able to lift heavier dogs than some of our other staff and DVMs)
enjoy friendly holiday themed competitions
enjoy maggots, wolf worms, pustular discharges and proptosed eyes and all the other super fun "gross" stuff that comes with emergency medicine
have your own dependable transportation
and of course, you should absolutely love cats and dogs!
Responsibilities (day-to-day activities, but are not limited to):
answering multi-line phone system with a cheerful demeanor
assisting fellow Techs, Assistants and DVMS
proper restraint of cats and dogs
ability to place IV caths
blood draws
familiar with Idexx in-house lab equipment
assisting in radiographs
properly administer IV, IM, SQ injections
have great aim for Nerf gun wars
amazing client communications
surgical prep, monitoring and recovery
helping to maintain a clean and healthy environment

Job Type: Part-time, with potential to move in to Full-Time
Scheduled hours will include evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
We are currently accepting applications for full time and part time CVT/LVT/RVT and experienced veterinary assistants. Due to the nature of our clinic, applicants MUST have a minimum of 4 years experience working at a veterinary practice with exposure to critical care and/or emergency medicine.
Compensation will be based on experience and skill level.
