🥸Fun Fact Friday: Omnivores🥸

Did you know that your dog ISN'T a carnivore?! Although they are direct descendants of wolves who are mainly carnivorous, they have evolved to thrive on both a plant and meat diet! That being said, I've never seen a dog choose a carrot 🥕over a cheeseburger🍔!

🐾Breed Spotlight: Bulldogs🐾

Who's the squishiest, wrinkliest, drooliest dog out there? You guessed it; the Bulldog! With so many varieties, shapes and sizes, there is so much to love about this breed!

📣 The most popular mascot! Bulldogs are the face of over 40 United States Universities, numerous sports teams, and even the unofficial mascot of the Unites States Marine Corps. Commonly seen as a symbol of courage, they make the perfect dog to represent so many amazing teams! I know I'd want a jersey with their face on it!

👶🏼Oh baby! Due to the size of their head and their narrow build, most bulldogs are born via c-section. What kind of push present do you get for a mama bulldog?

😴Catching some Zzz's. If you love a good night's sleep, the bulldog may not be the one for you. These smooshy face pups are notorious for their snoring. I bet they drool on the pillow, too!

🌈One in every color. Not all bulldogs looks the same. Within the Bulldog name are 14 breeds that come in 10 different colors. So many choices! I'll take one of each!

🛹Guinness World Record Holder. The first dog to receive the title of "Fastest Dog to Skateboard 100 meters" was a bulldog names Tillman. Imagine if all our dogs showed up to daycare on skateboards?! We'd need a bigger parking lot!

👍Tips & Tricks: Exercise👍

Exercise is one of the most important things you could do for your dog (and yourself!) Keeping our dogs bodies and minds healthy helps them to live their best and longest life possible! Here are some tips and tricks for incorporating exercise in with you pup and why it's so important!

😵‍💫Destructive behavior? Maintaining a regular exercise schedule helps to keep boredom at bay which can make them less likely to be destructive. Getting all their energy out in a fun way like playing in the yard, going for a walk or a swim ensures they're ready for a nap (and maybe you too!) instead of getting into mischief!

⚖ Healthy weight, healthy life. Incorporating a regular exercise schedule (along with a healthy diet) can help decrease your dogs chances of obesity and other health conditions that could shorten their lifespan. If you're anything like me, we want our dogs to live forever!

🧠Don't forget the brain! As we know in humans, keeping our minds sharp is important to maintaining a healthy life. Giving our pups toys and activities to exercise their brains is a great way to promote this! Something as simple as taking them on a walk in a new place to smell all the smells (good and bad, lol) or playing a game where you hide treats in a toy or around the house, helps to promote their brain health. Who doesn't love a game?!

As pet parents, we will do anything we can for our pet children and that all starts with keeping them healthy! What's your dogs favorite way to exercise? For my dog, she loves to play at our camp and go for a ride on the paddleboard! Drop a photo below of your dogs favorite exercise activity!
