Looking to Hire: Part Time Kennel Attendant

We are looking for someone to join our team as a kennel attendant. The ideal person for this role is reliable, has great attention to detail, takes pride in their work and is passionate about providing great care for pets as if they were their own.

Job Details:
• 15-20 hours per week, with the opportunity for more hours during the holidays and summer season.
• Starting pay is $17/hr + tips, depending on experience
• Availability on weekday afternoons/evenings, weekends and holidays is desired.
• Must have reliable transportation
• This is a physical position that requires bending, lifting, standing and walking for extended periods.

Job Duties:
• Feeding, exercising and caring for boarding guests.
• Cleaning and sanitizing of kennels and community areas.
• Checking guests in and out using kennel software.
• Sending updates to pet parents.

We are sad to share that we lost an important member of the Katalyst family this week, kennel kitty Fred.

Fred came to Katalyst 4 years ago by way of animal control, after we suspect he was dumped. Already a senior kitty when he joined us, Fred was adopted out but returned due to some less than desirable habits. We knew that a regular home was probably not in the cards for him, so decided to let him live out his senior days at Katalyst.

A strange kitty, who probably identified more as dog than cat, Fred spent his days supervising training, hitting the staff up for snacks, sunbathing, and teaching dogs how to be respectful of feline friends.

Thank you for all of the laughs Fred, it’s already a little quieter without you. We will miss you buddy ❤️
