Call for photos!

I am planning a talk for later this spring on breeding season management and lambing and kidding. In hopes of making it both interesting and representative, I'd like to include lots of client photos. Photos of lambs and kids, rams and bucks, does and ewes, bottle babies and dams successfully raising litters, jugs and maternity pens, sick babies and healthy babies, you name it! Please let me know if you would like photo credit or would like to remain anonymous.

We have a plan! For everyone who signed up for our trailer loading clinic, start time is 9 AM on Saturday March 8! Duration will be 3-4 hours at least. Refreshments will be available for purchase curtesy of Northern Exposure Pony Club. The event is graciously hosted by Honeydew Acres at 169 Post Road, Canton NY 13617. They have a beautiful large arena, so the event will go on rain or shine. *If time allows* DJ will be working with individual owners and their horses to help with particular problems. Late signups and walk-ins are welcome (people only, not horses - if you wish to bring your horse to the clinic to get help please contact us ahead of time)

Aaaannndddd... this is it for week 2 of teaching and Dr. Dorothee is still enjoying the heck out of it. This of course means that most of our appointments are scheduled at the clinic. The first week of "Professor Gilmore" is in the books, and things went well. Students were harangued, unknown computer systems were conquered, and back in the clinic teeth were pulled, x-rays taken, and emergencies covered. !!! TRAILER LOADING CLINIC !!!
On MARCH 8TH, 2025 Rivendell Veterinary Care and Honeydew Acres will co-host a trailer-loading clinic. Our clinician is DJ Murtaugh of London, ON. He will open up his large bag of tricks of how to get a flight animal to walk into a dark cave. Multiple horses and different trailers will be used for the demonstration. With the ongoing shortage of equine veterinarians comes an increasing need to trailer your horse. Loading a horse can be stressful when you are in an emergency situation, or if you simply have a "bad loader". We are planning on hosting a loading clinic with DJ Murtagh, renowned horse trainer from Canada, in early to mid-March. Due to the cost of having an experienced clinician travel here this event can only come together if there is sufficient interest.
