Believe it or not, we’re STILL smack dab in the middle of PRIME LAKE ERIE WALLEYE SEASON… but you guys know the work around here NEVER stops!

With the lake looking like she’s trying to sink everything that floats for the next 3 days and the walleyes get a temporary break from us, we’re switching gears and getting the WINTER OPERATION fired back up at the Great Lakes Beetle Barn

Before long, the coolers will be full of something a little different…

We’re looking forward to another great deer season and seeing all the PA TROPHY BUCKS you guys drag through the door!

Until then, we’ll keep catching walleyes when Mother Nature allows it… and getting the beetles hungry for what’s coming this fall.

Almost ready for battle. Playin' Hooky Sportfishing- Capt. George J Uhl III is heading west to Port Clinton, Ohio Saturday morning and starting the walleye carnage Monday! The schedule is getting very busy so don’t wait!

The flooring upgrade definitely turned out better than expected but truly tested my patience and stubbornness 😅

Pretty unique deer euro wrapped up this morning, This one had the upper canine “fangs” which is a rare genetic, I’ve only seen 2 this season.

They are often referred to as deer ivories

A super awesome project for my little buddy, Emory! This was his first ever buck so of course he had to talk Mon into a European mount! THIS is what it’s all about right here! Thanks Kayla Kearns for the opportunity to do it for him! I’m thinking we will see a lot more smiles and successful seasons coming up for him!

Another wall full done this week and heading to their forever homes! Thank you all so much for the patience! This season has definitely been overwhelming but we are on the downhill stretch! 5 of these are headed to our good friends at Landmark Farms & Earthworks LLC in Girard for their customers that chose to do European mounts through them! I will have another handful ready for them next week as well!
