REGARDING THE CURRENT GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN - PLEASE READ THE WHOLE POST. LOTS OF WORDS.
FRIENDS AND CLIENTS: This is not a political post. Political comments will be deleted. Dogs don't know anything about politics, but they do still depend on their humans to take care of them, no matter what might be happening around us.
TWO THINGS - FIRST: We are here to help you care for your dogs, and yes, we're a business. Yes, this is how we pay our bills.
HOWEVER, due to the government shutdown, there are people who are LITERALLY NOT GETTING PAID now. If this is you, and you are a current client - have a conversation with us about how we can help. We want to do whatever we can to make this time as painless as possible for you. Absolutely zero judgement.
We will get through this time together. Your dogs still need their nails trimmed, need baths, need haircuts. We will help you maintain your dog's regular care so it's one less thing to worry about, and so it's something that won't get so out of control that it becomes an issue later. Let's keep the communication open and honest, and we will absolutely figure it out.
SECOND - in conjunction with our landlord, STUDYS Ministries, we are taking non perishable food items for distribution via their food bank. You can drop off items anytime during our working hours, or leave them in the foyer outside. We will keep you posted on how that distribution works. In the mean time, there will be a table set up near our door for donations. ALSO - if you need to take something from the table, please do! That's why it's there. Again, no judgement.
We are a community, and as such, we have to take care of each other. These are unprecedented times in so many ways, but it won't last forever, and we can see each other through it, together.
