Bred and Born to be a show dog!! Best of Breed, Best Owner Handled, and a OHGroup 4 today!! I think this little boy of mine loves showing more than I do! We have absolute fun in the ring together.. Seeing his big personality in such a teeny body is hilarious! Thank you to breed judge Mr John C Ramirez, and OHGroup judge Mr Ken Murray for finding my silly boy!!

May not mean much to some but this means the world to me!! This is the day I’ve been waiting for!! My bred by boy Emian’s Gr8 day 2b Alive aka Tritt showed like a rockstar!! Taking best of breed, best of winners both shows and best owner handled this afternoon!! He went on to take an owner handled group 2!! So all in all 4 weekends, 3 best of breed wins. 8 points 1 major win! We’ll show again tomorrow! Thank you to judges Mr Yadong Ni, Mr Steve Hayden, and Mr John C Ramirez!!

I absolutely love this dog..!! Got to reminisce about my dog show dad today and it bright back all the feelings! The Lincoln show is where I first met him. Remembering him sign to me and tell me to SMILE! HAVE FUN!! He would be super proud of my grooming. I miss him beyond words but I know he would want me to continue to show and have fun!! So here’s Emian’s Gr8 Day 2b Alive aka Tritt and I having fun @ the Lincoln show!

Another good day at the dog show!! Emian’s Gr8 day 2b alive aka Tritt took reserve to the major in a nice lineup of dogs! We also got best bred by which I’ve never been in before!! Tomorrow is another day! 🤟🏼

This doesn’t mean much to some. This is a dream come true for me!! When I got into showing dogs I’ve always said I want to show what I breed. The sport of showing is fun yes, proving your work is worthy, is next level. Today Emian’s Gr8 day 2b alive aka Tritt went Best of breed for a 4pt major!! Thank you Judge Jean Nelson! His second time in the ring, untrained.. these look like ribbons to you, these mean the world to me!! This is my first breed win on my own dog, let alone one I bred! My spark for showing was reignited and we will be showing again soon!!

Today was dog show day!! Emian’s Gr8 day 2b Alive aka Tritt had his debut in the ring!! I’m pretty sure he was bred to be a show dog..!! He has had no training, only been on a lead 2-3 times. Took 2nd in his class. Linc and Brody went with and did so good, nobody got car sick!! Back at it tomorrow!

Why we don't discount older puppies❤️❤️❤️❤️
I see this all the time,
people assume if a puppy is a little older they should be cheaper.
And I get why people think that.
Because a lot of people are used to seeing puppies pushed out the door at 8 weeks.
And if they don’t sell right away the price drops.
So it starts to feel normal.
But that’s not how I do things.
Because when a puppy stays here longer…
they’re not just “waiting.”
They’re getting more.
More time.
More work.
More intention.
More of me.
Every single day they’re here, they’re being worked with.
We’re building routines.
Working on potty habits.
Continuing pen training.
Teaching them how to settle instead of panic.
They’re going through our curriculum not just once, but consistently.
They’re being exposed to real life.
Sounds, movement, grooming, new environments all in a way that builds confidence instead of fear.
And yes there’s a fear period in there too.
And instead of sending them off right in the middle of that and hoping for the best, I’m here helping guide them through it.
Helping them process things the right way.
Helping them not become anxious or unsure.
That matters more than people realize.
And on top of all of that
they’re being loved on constantly.
Not just taken care of, loved.
I know them.
I know their personalities, their quirks, what kind of home they’ll thrive in.
I know who’s more easygoing,
who needs a little extra reassurance,
who’s going to be someone’s shadow.
That only comes with time.
So when people ask why I don’t discount older puppies,
it’s because you’re not getting “what’s left.”
You’re getting a puppy that has had more poured into them.
More structure.
More exposure.
More training.
More one-on-one.
More love.
Just because a puppy stays with a breeder longer,
does not mean they should be cheaper.
We’re not trying to rush puppies out the door.
We’re not money hungry.
If anything, we’re the opposite.
We will keep our puppies as long as they need to be kept.
until the right home comes along, because their first home is here with us.
I don’t care if someone comes with cash in hand ready to take one home that day.
That doesn’t impress me.
What matters is where they’re going.
Because this isn’t a bidding war.
These are living, breathing puppies
that we have poured our heart into since day one.
Older puppies aren’t less valuable to me.
If anything,
they’re the ones I’ve spent more time with,
put more work into,
and poured even more of myself into.
& that’s something I’ll never discount.
