While Finch gears up for trial season, we’re also laying the groundwork with the young ones!

Sparrow is still early in her herding journey, learning balance, confidence, and feel on stock. These are early days, but she shows plenty of try and a solid foundation is already forming. We’re looking forward to seeing her progress as her training develops!

2026 is in full swing, and trial season is coming fast! That means time in the practice pen sharpening our outruns and fetches, which are a crucial start to a solid trial run.

After taking most of the fall and winter off, we’re a bit rusty, but Finch reminds me every time why I trust him. He steps right back in, honest and willing, like he never left.
