SHÜ CRÜ The adventures & antics of the rescues of the SHÜ CRÜ. Toby was adopted from the Beatrice Humane Society here in Nebraska on September 13, 2014.

He crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on December 13, 2021. Dexter was adopted from Hearts United For Animals here in Nebraska on April 15, 2017 where he was known as Bradley. Mortimer was adopted from Hearts United For Animals here in Nebraska on October 23, 2017 where he was known as Half Pint. He had been taken in by HUA during the transport of dogs from Houston in the aftermath of Hurricane Harve

y. Cornelius is the newest addition to the pack. He came into rescue with The Phoenix Remix Animal Rescue here in Lincoln, Nebraska with his 4 siblings. We fostered beginning July 8, 2022 and foster failed almost immediately. SHÜ CRÜ's message for the world is "Adopt, don't shop!" and remember to "Laugh, Love, Live, Learn"

This morning we spent several loving hours with our dear Mortimer and then we helped him to cross the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈😭🐾

After his seizure last night he just didn't fully come back to himself. As a result, he started shutting down and was telling us it was time. It is always soooo hard to decide between when you are just being selfish, holding on to them no matter what and when they are miserable and there is nothing more that can really be done. It was time. 😔 💜

All this hurt & pain is so worth it for the love, joy & light he brought into our lives for the last 7 1/2 years. It is always too short a time, but we wouldn't trade it for anything....EVER! 🥰🐾

We know that Mortimer could feel all your love as much as the SHÜ CRÜ humans. We can never thank you enough for caring so deeply. 💗

🌈Mortimer can now run & play completely pain free at the Rainbow Bridge where he was lovingly greeted by Sadie, Kayden, Toby, Dexter, Clem & Echo. 🌈

🫶 Mortimer could really use some good vibes sent his way. He spent the last couple daytimes with our A-4 Animal Hospital...

🫶 Mortimer could really use some good vibes sent his way. He spent the last couple daytimes with our A-4 Animal Hospital family & he is getting ready to spend his 2nd night with our Veterinary Emergency Services of Lincoln family (where he has been since this afternoon). He has Acute Pancreatitis which we're getting under control. It was touch & go about midday yesterday, but our boy is a fighter!! 🥊 With all the extra strain on his poor little body, he has been having seizures. We were just getting ready to go pick him up at the Emergency Vet and they called us back and said he'd just had a seizure for the first time in over 12 hours. So, we opted for him to stay another night just so we can have him monitored and get the damn seizure monster under control. 🤞🐾

Everyone hug your fur-babies tight & we'll hope for a seizure free night for everyone as well! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
