๐ซ Let's do a trainer introduction ๐ซ
Those who don't know me I'm Chelsea Harders owner and trainer of Straight Arrow Cowhorses! I started taking riding lessons when I was 13 and never quit.
I showed in 4H starting at 15 and up till I graduated high school. Attended college at Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture and was on the ranch horse team. After college I worked for industry professionals in NCHA, NRHA, and versatility ranch horse. Moved back to Nebraska in 2017 when I started up my training business. In 2024 I had our beautiful baby girl, Leighton Ann, who's happy place is always on a horse!
In 2018 I saw this fluffy little sorrel mare and knew I had to have her. That mare is Hip Wednesday Cat also known as "Rosie" (pictured).
I bought Rosie as a yearling, it's hard to believe this year she is 8! Her yearling year we showed at the IQHA Ranch Horse Futurity where she won her first AQHA earnings, we continued showing there until she aged out. She had a few top 10 finishes. All of Rosie's training and showing has been done under me. I started Rosie as a 2 year old and that was when I knew I enjoyed starting 2 year olds and progressing them into the showpen. In 2018 I was a spectator at the NRCHA snaffle bit futurity and that's where my love of the reined cowhorse started.
Rosie and I have had many accomplishments together in AQHA, ARHA, and in 2025 we started showing NRCHA. Another one of our personal mares, Fast Smoken Callahan "Callie", and I were the 2023 NeRHA high point yearling futurity champions. Rosie and I have had multiple class wins in ARHA, qualified and competed at the AQHA VRH world show in 2024, and started showing NRCHA in 2025 and will continue to in 2026 which involves us competing at the 2026 NRCHA snaffle bit futurity in the limited open bridle. Rosie and I have been riding and gaining knowledge in the reined cowhorse from Jayde Trump with Trump Performance Horses!
I am looking forward to seeing what 2026 brings and are excited that you're along for the ride!
