We had to lay our sweet Olivia to rest, she had a bout of colic and vet believes she strangled her small intestine. Sadly because of her age they felt surgery was not an option. Our beautiful girl was laid to rest with her friends in our field where she will stay home forever. I will miss her terribly and so do her friends. Barn name Olivia (Kings Doll Trouble)

Sometimes I feel like I’m always posting about things passing in my life, but one reasons Ryan and I got into rescuing/taking in older horses was so that they wouldn’t die alone. This beautiful Arabian mare we called Amunet was pushing 30 years old. A long life yes for a horse, but sadly Friday night she had what we believe to be a seizure. She was unable to get up and it required the help of my amazing friends Todd & Laura Hill to get her upright and moved to a safer location(not in the pasture with other old ladies) she was able to stand for a bit but eventually she collapsed again. Our amazing veterinarian Dr Patrick came out to ease her pain and suffering and she peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge. As she was finally feeling comfortable the most beautiful thing happened. ( if you know Arabian horses you’ll understand.) she arched her neck in and tucked her head down as if she were running if you know you know) I like to believe she saw that bridge and full throttle she took off galloping head in tail up the way they do. We loved her very much and I pray this sweet mare enjoys the grass in heaven. Rest in peace Amunet.

The three old ladies livin their best life, the amount of legendary standing right here is insane. A daughter to golden Caantender, a granddaughter to doc bar/handle bar doc and a granddaughter to King and wimpy.

The one time I actually leave the farm and go into town to grab a few things and my little Hermione decides that 230 in the afternoon is a good time to have a baby! We sped down the highway to get home to be sure the baby and momma were ok. But this little spunkster literally was standing up before she was all the way out of the sack. So it’s only fitting that Hermione have a little LEVIOSA!
