You know you are doing something right in your program when, as they are laying at your feet, ankles crossed, heads laying on their paws and eyes closed, the vet laughs and says, "You definitely don't raise normal Aussies" 😁. Way to make a momma proud, girls! My goal for our program has been to hone in on a very specific temperament. Aussies are so versatile. We have a wide variety of activities our dogs go on to do. We have ranchers, farmers, hikers, skiers, agility and diving competitors, etc. We have placed dogs in half the states in this country. But, at the end of their day doing whatever they do to live their best lives with their families, I want them to have a shut off button. I want dogs with a chill demeanor. We raise fur family members. Our dogs love to be active, but they also love to love. They love nightly snuggles on the couch and sharing your pillow in bed. A lot of time, energy, money, hard decisions, sleepless nights and heart has gone into receiving a compliment like the one I received at the well check yesterday. She has no idea how that made my day and encouraged me to keep moving forward❤️.
