Giant showstopper puppy dog. Blue is sweet, friendly, quiet under saddle and very much a people horse.

The good:

17.3H
Gorgeous gray
Sweet and kind
Quiet under saddle
W/T/C and lead changes
Going beautifully over jumps
Brave on the trails
Hacks like a champ
Fun to ride

He is a very nice young horse and I think he is going to be a showstopper. We are planning to show him in September and October if we don't find the right home before then.

The bad:

He's four. And he's smart.

If you let him be naughty, he will be naughty. This can occasionally include a kick and his legs are six feet long.

For that reason, he is not a beginner horse. He needs an experienced rider with soft hands who is comfortable riding young, green horses and knows when to be firm when necessary. He isn't mean, but he is still a baby and needs someone who will give him clear boundaries. His calmness will trick you into thinking he is mature.

He is still learning where all those legs belong, but he is coming along very nicely and will be ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. Hunter, jumper, eventing. No injuries, completely sound. Easy keeper for a TB.

We're not in a hurry to sell him. If the right person doesn't come along, we'll keep showing him and training him.

Zydeco appreciation post! This Western Pleasure quarter horse can do anything. He is a trail ride boss, he can tote around kids, he lets you paint him and crawl all over him. He is the right amount of sassy and last but not least he loves to jump! Since starting over some small jumps he has shown enthusiasm, bravery, and joy over fences. Good boy Z Man!
