Some days it hits all at once.
The chores undone, the sink full, the feed buckets waiting, the quiet hum of everyone sleeping while your mind won’t slow down.
It’s lonely in those hours. You start to wonder if anyone really knows how much it takes just to keep things moving.
Last night, we lost the little calf I’d been fighting so hard for. I sat there in the straw, hands still shaking from trying everything I could think of, whispering that she wasn’t alone.
That’s the hardest part of this life, giving your whole heart to something that might still slip away.
But morning still came. The sun still rose. The rest of the animals still needed to be fed. And somehow, I did it. We always do.
This life breaks you open ❤️🩹 but it also shows you how deep love runs. The kind that keeps going, even when your heart feels heavy and your hands are tired.
