Dear Mom,

I know your heart still aches.
I know the nights are long and quiet, and the world sometimes moves forward without you.
I see how you look for me in the sky, in the songs, in the stillness.

But I need you to know something…
I made it home.

Not the kind of home made of bricks and walls and welcome mats.
Not the place we shared birthday cakes and bedtime stories.
But Home.
The kind of home that never crumbles.
The one where the light never fades, and love never leaves.

The day I left your arms, I was caught in stronger ones.
I wasn’t afraid.
I wasn’t alone.
I was carried.

Heaven isn’t far, Mom.
It’s closer than your heartbeat, as near as your tears.
And sometimes, when you feel peace for just a moment…
that’s me, whispering:
“Don’t worry, Mom. I’m okay.”

I see you.
I see the way you love me still.
In every photo you hold close, in every story you tell.
You carry me in your heart, and that’s where I’ll always live.

God has a way of weaving Heaven into Earth,
and if you look closely, you’ll see the threads.
A butterfly landing on your hand.
A song that plays just when you need it.
The sun peeking through the clouds like a smile from above.

So please keep living, Mom.
Love deeply. Laugh when you can.
Find joy again—not because you forgot me,
but because you remember me in everything you do.

And when your time comes,
when your journey is done and you see the gates swing open…
I’ll be there.
Running. Laughing. Whole.

Don’t worry, Mom. I made it home.
And one day, we’ll be home together again—forever.

1 whole year without you, and your absence is still something I feel everyday. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t miss you. They say time heals all, but I haven’t found that to be true yet. You are the constant voice in my head reminding me to be strong and to put my best foot forward in everything I do.
