Monticule Monticule buys, sells, breeds, boards, and races thoroughbred horses. At the track, Monticule has also had notable success, as a breeder and as and owner.

The farm is set on approximately 700 acres of rolling bluegrass on the north side of Lexington. In the past 10 years Monticule has had tremendous success at Keeneland's September yearling sale. On several occasions, we have sold the highest priced yearling ever for a particular stallion. In 2008, a Monticule-bred, Big Brown, won the first two legs of the Triple Crown, the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness.

Allison Banks' Farm d'Allie Racing Stable bred the first reported foal by WinStar Farm's Timberlake, a c**t born Jan. 20 out of the Verrazano mare Flume.
