I love all cats and have owned Siamese, Burmese & Tonkinese cats tabby etc
I can’t ever remember or imagine a time in my life that we didn’t have a cat.
2001 TICA CAT show In Columbia, SC is when my Bengal obsession started. I soaked up all and any knowledge on the bengal breed, then go home research more and journal. I wanted a bengal so very bad, adults or kitten didn’t matter I had to have thi
s animal in my life. So I was able to save couple checks and adopt a retired show/breeder cat, he was 2 years old , marble big boy with most piercing green eyes named BaTu. Bengals don’t like change much just like any other cat but adults do take longer. Ba-Tu made his grand appearance on top of my bed almost 2 weeks later. The rest is history,
Bengals were just so very different than average cat to my mind. Demanding is an understatement, of course I always oblige. Ba-Tu is now almost 17 years old. He’s still king of this and every other castle and bc of him I had to learn more about this amazing breed. I wanted 1 of each color as pet “Bengals are like a box of chocolates” told to me by famous Mary Johnson. I decided I didn’t like some things on a lot of bengal cats, i knew I could breed these cats to look like show standards, or have fun trying! I started breeding early generations bengals that’s best place to start if you want to correct structure so why not?! (Please always do research before caring or touching any animal) I don’t advise for anyone to start with an early generation
My first breeding cats were f1, 2 f2’s & f3 along with already proven TICA champion male. I was off to the races so very fortunate to have phenomenal lines to start with. I would like to Thank these people whom are among best breeders internationally. I’ve been very fortunate and my hanging out as a little girl at cat shows asking 100 questions yes did upset some while others loved to answer my questions. Always thank you Jennifer Edwards, Lisa Menze, Cathy potter, kiki littlefish, Sarah Mabrey, Rich Nolte. Mary Johnson & Priscilla South. Countless others and I will add as I remember,
Everyone of these phenomenal breeders helped me. I never had a mentor but didn’t need 1. I had an army!
