We just got in a sample of one of the new styles of premium urns that we will be adding to our catalog, and we have to say - it is beautiful! This is the "Monumental Memorials" Collection: These are handcrafted natural marble urns (available in white or black) that are inlaid with shell and powdered luster to provide a rainbow/shimmer effect in the details. They are also customizable with metallic engraving. We have attached some photos out of the catalog that show the different colors and designs. They are available in 3 sizes to accommodate all our beloved friends. We have the sample urn on display in our office and if anyone is interested in them we are happy to give more information on request.

Last night we had some kind good samaritan clients who reached out to one of our staff, as they had come across a cat who unfortunately had been wounded by a car off of Greendale & Citation here in Lexington near our office. Despite rushing the cat to the ER vet, his injuries were too grave and he did not make it. Our staff member brought the cat back to our office and we will be holding him in case his owners may come looking. He likely was a stray, no chip, intact male mature cat, brown tabby swirl with a patch of white on his chest. We have photos we can provide on request. We will file a found report with Lexington Animal Care & Control also. Please reach out if this might be your pet and you are missing him.

Thank you to our clients who did the right thing in getting this poor boy to the ER vet and our team who met them there to help. We are glad that in his final moments he was held and briefly loved as he made his way across the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈

We wish that all pets could live as long as they deserve to live. If they did, they would surely outlive all of us. We care deeply about honoring every pet that we take into our care & we hope that you feel that when your pet returns home❤️

All our pets go to Gina Our sweet Gus went over the rainbow bridge and we were heartbroken 💔

Gina works tirelessly and energetically to take care of our babies through their passing and into their afterlife. She handles pets with dignity, provides love and support, and even new folks feel like they have known her for years. She adds lots of extra things like you see in the picture, that we use as holiday ornaments and hang in our pets favorite areas throughout our house.

If you are in the position where you have to put your baby to rest, call her as part of your preparation. If she isn’t associated with your vets office, she will make a call and go pick your baby up from the vet and take care of them.

I used to think this was something out of my control, but you do have a choice where your pet is taken and who is taking care of them. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a Lexington based pet crematorium who cares so deeply about how they are being treated until they are back in your home with you.

Please be careful out there & remember that even if your pets enjoy the snow, limit their time outside. Paw pads can and will freeze!

The entire team at Bluegrass Pet Crematorium would like to wish all of our followers a very Merry Christmas. We are proud to be your choice for care of the beloved pets of our community and appreciate the trust placed in us.

In order to allow our staff time to celebrate with their families, friends, and pets - our office will be CLOSED Tuesday Dec. 24th (Christmas Eve) and Wednesday, Dec. 25th (Christmas Day). We will reopen on our normal schedule on Thursday, Dec. 26th.

We would like to wish all of our clients and followers a Happy Thanksgiving. As we gather around our tables with friends and family, we always take a moment to reflect on those furry friends who may not be in their 'usual' places this year and hold a moment in remembrance for them, keeping their space in our hearts.

In observance of the holiday and to allow our team time to gather with loved ones, our office will be CLOSED on Thursday Nov. 28th and Friday Nov. 29th. We will reopen as usual on Saturday Nov. 30th (9am - 12pm).
