✨NEW LOCATION✨

I’m sure some of you have figure it out by now, but I am so excited to officially announce that I will be grooming at a new salon!

Don’t worry, I’ll still be right here in Lexington serving all of and your pups golly pet salon
I’m especially excited to offer a more personalized, one-on-one grooming experience for your dogs.

If we haven’t met before, I’m Tiana, the face behind pixie and paws (my grooming alter ego all things cute and pink and girly) 💕🐩✂️

I have 8 years grooming experience as well as 3 years experience as an animal control officer as well as recently enrichment stylist certified. My experiences in both fields have given me a deep understanding of animal behavior, handling, and importance of meeting each dog where they are.

One area that especially near and dear to my heart is working with nervous, anxious, fearful, and misunderstood dogs. Especially dogs who come from cruelty situations, neglect, rescues, or simply have a difficult past. ❤️‍🩹

I pride myself on being someone you can trust. When I say “humanity over vanity” it’s not just a cute phrase, it’s something I live by.

Your pets safety, health, comfort, and well-being will always come before the haircut. If getting the perfect haircut means pushing a dog past its comfort level, then it’s simply not worth it for me. I have multiple clients who, at first, weren’t able to tolerate a full groom. Instead of pushing them past their comfort level, we started where they were and slowly worked on building trust and making grooming a positive experience. Watching those dogs go from struggling with grooming to eventually being able to receive a full groom and leave looking great AND genuinely happy is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. 🥹🐾

I also LOVE getting creative! Poodles and Doodles are some of my favorites to groom, epically when I can have a little fun with their look! I also have a huge soft spot for schnauzers and cocker spaniels! 💕

Wether you’re looking for a simple tidy up or something a little more ✨extra✨, I’m excited to give them individualized care and make them feel their best.

Hi friends! If you’re new here, I’m Tiana
the groomer behind Pixie & Paws! 🐾🩷

I decided to give my grooming page a little revamp and start sharing more of my work, while trying to think of a name, Pixie & Paws just made sense. I love all things cute, pink, sparkly, girly, so I wanted my grooming world to feel the same way. ✨💕

I’m a groomer here in Lexington and you can find me at Studio K9 on Southland drive🎀🐶

One of the parts of grooming that means the most to me is working with rescue dogs and pups who may have had some not so great experiences before. I’ve always had a huge soft spot for the nervous and misunderstood babes🩷

I also recently became a Certified Enrichment Stylist, and I’m SO excited to start bringing what I’ve learned into the salon. My goal is to make grooming not only about how a dog looks when they leave, but also about how they feel while they’re here. ✨🥹

So you’ll be seeing a lot more from me around here, grooms, rescue dogs, behind the scenes salon life, cute accessories, and probably an unreasonable amount of pink. 😂🎀

It’s shedding season!
Your dogs hair grows in cycles and shedding is a important part of this cycle. The de-shedding cycle helps get rid of the hair that’s starting to fall out and helps promote the under coat to release hair.
Routine grooming helps maintain this, and it’s extremely important to brush regularly to help remove dead hairs.
To get the best results it’s important to stay on a regular schedule of de-shed treatments at a minimum of every 6 months.
