In service of domestic animals in South Carolina, Frisky Business Rescue is a no-kill rescue that provides vital resources such as veterinary care, birthing assistance, medication, and rehoming or safe release (TNR) to the most vulnerable animals in the region. We specialize in animals with special circumstances that come from various backgrounds, including animal hoarding and abusive situations but primarily focus on vulnerable kittens, puppies, and pregnant/nursing dogs and cats. Before rehoming, we carefully screen new potential families to ensure the needs of our animals are met and that new homes will become furever homes.

🐾💜 Meet Noodle – A Very Scared Little Lilac Point Looking for Patience 💜🐾

📍 Lexington, SC

🐱 Noodle | ~4 years | ♀️
🐾 DMH – Lilac Point

🩺 Spayed; UTD on FVRCP & Rabies; FIV/FeLV negative; dewormed, microchipped & UTD on flea/heartworm prevention.

🐱 Good with other cats. Her experience with dogs/kids is unknown and would require patience.

⚠️ No known medical issues. Noodle may fear-hiss, but has never bitten, scratched, or swatted.

🏡 Noodle came to us after her owners passed away. She lived with several other cats in the home and came in extremely undersocialized. I would describe these cats as behaving like hoarder cats—not feral, but genuinely terrified of people.

🥹 Noodle is actually the one I've been able to make the most progress with. After about 1.5 months here, treats and wet food are still the key to getting her to come out, and she's only comfortable accepting pets about half the time.

I can make her interact if I need to, but I don't want to force her. She needs someone willing to let her progress at her own pace and understand that trust may take a while.

The good news? She has absolutely no issues with the other cats. She grew up with several cats from the same household and seems very comfortable around them. 🐱💕

Noodle isn't a cat who is going to immediately run up and cuddle with you. She needs a patient person who can look at a terrified cat and see the sweet girl underneath it all. ❤️

🐾🌭 Meet Dottie – A Little Dachshund with a Big Personality! 🌭🐾

📍 Lexington, SC

🐶 Dottie | ~3 years | ♀️
🐾 Supposedly purebred Miniature Dachshund, although I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s something else mixed in! 😂

🩺 Scheduled for spay, DHLPP, Bordetella, Rabies & heartworm test 11/10. Adopter must pick up 11/11 or take her to this appointment. Microchipped, dewormed & UTD on flea/heartworm prevention. She is technically current on most vaccines, but records couldn't be located.

🐶🐱👧 Good with cats, kids & small dogs. With big dogs, she just needs time to realize they aren't a threat.

⚠️ Dottie is food protective and must eat separately from other animals, which she does perfectly fine in a crate. She can be growly with animals she's unsure of, but has never been truly reactive—it's more of a “back off, I don't know you yet!” response.

🏡 Owner surrender due to inability to provide proper care. Previous situation was reportedly a hoarding situation, and she was rarely allowed outside.

🏠 House training is a work in progress. She's doing well with p*e pads and outdoor time, but isn't perfect yet.

🥰 Dottie is a HUGE cuddlebug who loves sleeping on or beside her person! ❤️ She loves playing with small, playful dogs and has gotten comfortable around the bigger dogs here. She's still learning what is and isn't a toy, likely due to her previous living situation, but she isn't destructive.

She's a little vocal but hasn't been much of a barker. Walks decently on leash, although she's never had to potty on one. She previously free-roamed outside and would wander, so a secure fenced area is strongly preferred.

Dottie is still learning what normal dog life looks like, but she's making progress and is affectionate, playful, and VERY happy to have someone to snuggle! 🥹❤️

🐄🖤 Meet Clarabelle – The Sweetest Little Cow Kitty! 🖤🐄

📍 Location: Lexington, SC

🐱 Name: Clarabelle
🎂 Age: ~1 year
🐾 Breed: DSH – Magpie / Cow Kitty (black & white)
♀️ Female

🩺 Scheduled for spay, FVRCP & Rabies on 11/23. Adopter must either wait until after her appointment to take her home OR take her to this appointment. She is already microchipped, dewormed & UTD on flea and heartworm prevention.

🐶🐱👧 Good with dogs, cats & kids: Good with everything she’s met so far! She is shy at first but becomes VERY friendly once she warms up.

⚠️ Aggression or medical issues?: None known.

🏡 Reason for rehoming: Clarabelle was the mom of a litter that was dumped at my workplace. Sadly, all of her kittens were found deceased, but we were able to catch Clarabelle by hand within the week and get her somewhere safe.

🥰 Personality:
Clarabelle is a very sweet, curious girl who just needs a little time to decide you're her friend. Once she warms up, though, she REALLY wants your attention! 💕 She loves affection, seeks people out, and can even be quite vocal when she has something to say. 😂

She loves climbing, enjoys hanging out with the other cats, and has no problem being held. Once she knows you, she is very much a "come love on me!" kind of girl.

If you're willing to give her a little patience while she gets comfortable, you'll get a loving, affectionate companion who is ready to make up for lost time. 🖤🐄

🎩🐾 Meet Francesco – A Shy Little Tuxedo with a Big Curiosity! 🐾🎩

🐾 Breed: DMH – Black & White Tuxedo
♂️ Male

🩺 Neutered, microchipped & dewormed; has had 2 rounds of FVRCP; UTD on flea prevention.

🐶🐱👧 Good with dogs, cats & kids: Good with everything he’s met so far, but he can be shy at first.

⚠️ Aggression or medical issues?: None known.

🏡 Reason for rehoming: Francesco was found as a stray and brought to Animal Control. We pulled him to help reduce overcrowding and give him a chance at finding his forever home.

🥰 Personality:
Francesco is a curious, nosy little guy who wants to know what everyone else is doing! 👀🐾 He LOVES playing with the other kitties and climbing, and honestly, he'd much rather be partying with his feline friends than sitting around with boring old humans. 😂

He's perfectly fine with being held and handled, but he's a little shy at first and typically needs you to seek him out rather than expecting him to come running over to you. Once he's comfortable, he's happy to hang out and do his thing.

He would likely do especially well in a home with another friendly, playful cat who can help him feel confident and give him a buddy to burn off all that kitten energy with! 🐱💕

🏡 Reason for rehoming: Olita was surrendered to Animal Control by her owner. We pulled her to help reduce overcrowding and give her a chance at finding a forever home.

🥰 Personality:
Olita is a very friendly, easygoing little girl who has no problems being held. She enjoys pets and attention and is happy to hang out with her people. 💕

She also has a bit of a preference for the high life… literally! 😂 Olita loves cat towers and being up off the ground where she can survey her surroundings. 👑🐈

She hasn't been particularly vocal so far, so if you're looking for a sweet companion who isn't constantly demanding your attention with a running commentary, Olita might be your girl! 😹

She's been good with everything she's met and has a lovely, relaxed personality. If you want a sweet calico who enjoys affection, cozy perches, and keeping an eye on everything from above, Olita is ready to meet you! 🌸🐾

🐾🖤 Meet Cain – 150 Pounds of Pure Gentle Giant! 🖤🐾

📍 Location: Lexington, SC

🐶 Name: Cain
🎂 Age: ~5 years (DOB ~8/5/21)
🐾 Breed: Boerboel or English Mastiff – best guess
⚖️ Weight: 130 lbs at intake; likely 140–150 lbs now 😂
♂️ Male

🩺 Neutered; UTD on Rabies, DHPP & Bordetella; microchipped & dewormed; heartworm negative & UTD on heartworm/flea prevention.

🐶🐱👧 Good with dogs, cats & kids: Good with everything he’s formally met!

⚠️ Aggression or medical issues?: None known.

🏡 Reason for rehoming: Owner surrender to Animal Control. We pulled him to help get them under capacity.

🏠 House/crate trained: Cain does mark in new environments. He was intact before surrender, so this may never completely disappear. I use a belly band for the first few days and then have no further issues. I’ll gladly send belly bands with him!

🥰 Personality:
Cain is a HUGE boy with a surprisingly easygoing personality! He knows no stranger and has been friendly with every dog and cat he’s met. He was even accidentally around a reactive dog once and only gave a light growl before moving on.

He can be a little stubborn on leash, but walks well overall and happily follows me around the yard. He loves his cooling bed and yard time and has not tried getting on furniture in my house.

Cain doesn’t try to dig out, but he IS smart enough to figure out gate latches! 🔐 Any gates in his new home will need secure locks/clips because this boy is apparently a puzzle-solving genius. 😂

💦 And then there’s the drool. LOTS of it. Cain pretty much always has some slobber because of how his mouth is built. It’s not a medical issue—it’s just part of owning a giant dog! If you can’t stand drool, Cain is not your guy. 😂

Friendly reminder: XXL dogs come with XXL expenses—more food and more expensive preventatives. Beyond that, Cain is a very good, chill, friendly, low-maintenance dog. ❤️
