Now our little rescue has been featured by local news outlets AND The New York Times. Not bad for a bunch of shelter mutts who immediately chose chaos. 🐶🐾😂

A huge noise rattled part of the state on Thursday. Multiple theories have been put forward, but the mystery remains.

No known aggression or medical concerns.
Chalupa and his siblings were dumped in a box outside Columbia Animal Services. They came to us riddled with parasites and severely underweight — nearly half the size they should have been for their age. Since then, we have worked hard getting them healthy, gaining weight, and catching up. They now weigh enough to begin flea/heartworm prevention and start finding forever homes.

💙 Personality:
Chalupa is probably the most cautious and sensitive of his siblings, and honestly, it just makes him extra endearing.
He is still very sweet, playful, and affectionate, but compared to the others he startles more easily around loud noises and unfamiliar people. He tends to take a little extra time to warm up and figure things out.
Some days he is all about cuddles: if you hold him and pet him long enough, he may drift right off to sleep on you 🥹💙
Other days? He would rather spend every waking second chasing toys and playing (typical little boy kitten 😂).
He LOVES his toys, loves chasing things, and has that fun, playful kitten energy while still having a softer, gentler personality.
And like all of his siblings, this crew absolutely LOVES people. They come running to greet you the second they see you, and their purr motors are HUGE and unbelievably loud for such tiny babies.

💙 Important Breed Awareness:
As with many Siamese and Siamese-mix cats, there is an increased lifetime risk of vision issues, including blindness, even at younger ages. This does not mean she currently has any vision concerns, just something adopters should be aware of and comfortable with.

💗 Personality:
If you are looking for a kitten that believes personal space is optional… this is your girl.
Gordita Crunch is the snuggliest and most laid-back of the bunch. She is the foster kids’ FAVORITE, and somehow even won over the husband, which is saying a lot since he is not usually a cat person 😂
She will happily let you hold her like a baby and pet her for hours. She is incredibly sweet, calm, affectionate, and just wants to be loved.
And she is not alone, these kittens are HUGE people fans. They come running the second they see you, greeting everyone with giant purr motors that are shockingly loud for such tiny babies. 🥹

🐾 Age: ~1 year
🐾 Breed: Poodle Mix (unknown mix)
🐾 Weight: 47 lbs currently and underweight — expected to be around ~55 lbs at a healthy weight (photos do NOT do his size justice)

🏡 Good with dogs, cats, and kids?
Yes! He has done well with everything he has met so far. He absolutely LOVES playing with other dogs.

🩺 Aggression or medical issues?
None known. He had a wound when pulled from Columbia Animal Services, but it is nearly entirely healed and requires no further care.

📖 Reason for rehoming/adoption:
Boomer was found as an injured stray and pulled from Columbia Animal Services so he could receive medical care and desperately needed grooming due to severe matting.

🏠 House/crate trained?
Yes! He does great in a crate, though honestly he does not even appear to need one.

💙 Personality / Additional Info:
Boomer is an extremely friendly, gentle, and well-mannered dog. He walks phenomenally on leash (off-leash reliability has not been tested). He is an absolute dream for grooming, including nail trims.
He has stayed off furniture so far, does not destroy toys, and instead likes collecting them and placing them in his bed. (I have yet to actually see him PLAY with the toys; he just likes gathering them all together 😂)

He is still getting used to car rides. He does fine overall, but you can tell he is unfamiliar with them. He won’t jump in/out on his own yet and tends to stand during the ride because he looks unsure/uncomfortable.

✨ He is non-shedding.
⚠️ PLEASE be aware of grooming needs & expenses BEFORE inquiring. ⚠️
This will be the first thing I ask potential adopters about.

Dogs with this coat type require:
✂️ Professional grooming every 4–6 weeks
🪮 Daily brushing/combing
This maintenance is NOT optional. Matting becomes painful very quickly.

You can learn to groom at home, but it requires a major time commitment, proper equipment, and dedication. For reference, it took me approximately 6 combined hours just to remove the matting from his coat and get him cleaned up, and that did NOT include a bath or blow dry.

🐱 Name: Tuesday
🎂 Age: ~3 years old (DOB ~3/1/2023)
🩶 Breed: Snowshoe
♀️ Female

💉 Vetting:
UTD on Rabies & FVRCP vaccines, spayed (with ear tip & tattoo), microchipped, and current on flea & heartworm prevention.

👩‍👧‍👦 Good with:
People! Tuesday absolutely loves humans and thrives on attention. She enjoys pets, being held, and hanging out with her person.

🚫 Other animals:
Tuesday strongly dislikes other cats and would do best as the only pet. We can dog test upon request, but we honestly do not expect her to enjoy sharing space with dogs either. She *could* potentially live in a home with other animals only if she had her own completely separate space away from them.

🩺 Medical Notes:
Tuesday is FIV+ (FeLV negative) but is currently completely symptom-free and doing well! FIV+ cats can still live long, happy lives with proper care.

💔 Her Story:
Tuesday was dumped outside a Ruby Tuesday restaurant and left to fend for herself until she was rescued.

✨ Personality:
When she isn’t surrounded by other cats, stressing her out, Tuesday is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves attention, enjoys being pet, is comfortable being held, and really bonds with her people. She’s the kind of cat who wants to be the center of someone’s world, and honestly, she deserves that after everything she’s been through.
